The "God's Head" that is embossed on the (Light Flint) front seat backs has the finish coming off on the high spots where my back rubs it......Looks pretty crappy!! :mad2:

I took it to Leather Magic in Monroe, NC and the lady sprayed a new acrylic finish on it and it looked OK but was very sticky....My shirt or jacket would stick to it!! :argue: I wiped it down with Isopropanol and it took the finish she sprayed on it OFF....Back to square one!! :bs:

Anybody else having a problem with the finish coming off??

I think I'm going to the dealer to see if they will replace it.....If not Ray will get one for me....Can't be too hard to install??

Ahh...Yes...
There is an AIRBAG in the side of your seat.
Let a professional install it for you.
The last thing you want is to go on a trip provided by the side airbag...

Good to hear they are taking care of it. Come to think of it I remember looking
at mine last time I cleaned and thought it looked a little flat :(

Got the seat back skin installed today and it is amazingly simple!! Two screws at the base of the plastic back and the cover has attachments like the bottom does in the front....no hogrings!! ;) The ribbed part with the vent holes is velcroed to the foam...modern science!!

He could have done it in 15 minutes if it weren't for the airbag...two nuts and of course disconnect the battery to keep from blowing yourself up!! :bows:

It seems a bit loose but he said it will look better after sitting in the sun a few days. :)
