Saw this in the paper today right on the Front page of the Detroit Free Press. So I felt that it should be added in the garage section, For discussion.

Being a fan of a large garage myself, I can relate. I'm not too sure about the styling, but he's just trying to do what he has always been told when he was younger, "To put your toys away when your done with them!".
Mamma would be so proud!

Who cares how big it is compared to his house? A garage is a second home to most men.

My good friend in AZ built a 1200sq.ft home with a 5000sq.ft garage about 10 years ago.
Last year he added a secound 40x60' garage.
The neat thing about his place is it looks like a BIG house with 3 garage doors.
One end of the garage is a drive through set up for a 40' 5th wheel trailer and full size 1 ton truck that can be loaded under cover, very cool.
BTW he's a bike guy (NO HARLEYS!) most are very rare late model race bikes.
If you know about US Superbike racing he has duplicated the front row of the Daytona 200,bike wise, from 85-1990 very cool.

I agree, and since their was no law in effect they should leave him alone, besides he's on an acre. They will have to grandfather his in if they do want to mess with the zoning, he's home free. :burnout:

When a buddy of mine was house shopping he told the sales person that he wanted a three car garage and a fenced yard. The sales person asked about bedrooms and he said that it should have some.

I think most of us here would agree, this would be a great thing to have!
I like the last line in to story:
"You know, if my wife tells me to go out to the doghouse, it's not a problem," he said. "I've got the best doghouse in town."
