I've found a site that offers automotive grade "custom" emblems, in a limited sort of way. What they offer are letters and some symbols, made out of polished aluminum coated with PVC for protection. You can, for example, make up a "4.6L DOHC" badge, or "SUPERCHARGED" badge or "S-55." Basically anything except a custom logo, which they don't do. They are a bit pricey -- "4.6L DOHC" for example, costs about $35. However, they have a single word special for $17.50, so something like Supercharged would be $17.50.
Edit: I am wrong about the "single word" special. If you order one of their "stock" precongfigured words, its $17.50. Custom wording still priced out by the letter and symbol.

Okay. The plan is to do an S55 conversion on my tail lights a la the Roush car and as others have done (NBC Shooter, TAF, Marty, and others). I want to put on an S55 badge like on the Roush car as well, but my efforts of getting in touch with DST Industries, who made these badges, have failed.
Enter the Your Emblem people.
As the conversion is a number of weeks away, and wanting to test these out first (like will they not fall off, corrode, or look like crap) I ordered "4.6 DOHC" to put on the rear in the location some of you put those Police Interceptor badges.
I'm also thinking of putting on the right trunklik under the spoiler.
Anywho, here's what they look like set down on my desk, fingerprints and all.
To install, you tape up a guide line and apply the letters/numbers.
I'll post an installed pic later -

I have the test emblem on my car. The jury's still out on them, imo.
They've already gone through two car wash cycles and still are sticking. That's a plus.
They are amazingly shiney silver. They jump out on a black car. This is mixed, imo. They look nice, but on the back they are kinda "busy."
They are thick. This I don't like so much. I would like them better if they were about half as thick.
I ain't all that in love with the type style. Would be cool if it were in the italic typeface as the Marauder on the rear facia.
Here's some pics --

They are a bit thick huh? .... hmmm,... well,.. I dont think that's too much of a problem.
Now the real question.... What should I put on mine? I am thinking about 'Bad M***** F*****' but ... I dunno...

I plan on putting "T67" or "T-67" on the right rear tail light S55 style. My tail lights are already painted. I think these style letters / numbers would look good on my silver MM if they were black.....(sound of a spray paint can being shook *HERE*) Hmmm.....
