Getting the 30,000 mile service there today.

Has anyone done business with this dealer before?

They seem very nice, attentive and customer service oriented.

Anything I should be looking out for regarding this service?

They are changing filters, trans service and changing antifreeze.

Thanks, I'll follow up on the rest of my experience.

They are putting new front hubs on my car. Still under warrantee. They say that is why the tires are wearing funny. Anyone else experience this?

They are wrong.

While it's certainly possible your car has bad hubs, I highly doubt that's going to do anything for your wear issue. The cause of the inner tread wear on the front tires is that the factory alignment specs are wrong. Unfortunately, the dealer is only allowed to use the factory specs, so you can get alignments there monthly, and it won't help...you need to find a good alignment shop that will work with you and use the proper specs...

Thanks for the invite, allan, but I am an official MM "troller".

However, I do own all Ford products:

2003 TBird: 3.9/280 hp; black/saddle interior; two tops
2004 Lincoln LS 8 Sport: 3.9 280 hp; Light Tundra metallic
1994 TBird LX 4.6: black/tan interior
1964 Galaxy 500XL clone: 352cu/250hp; Peacock (turquoise)/black buckets (209,000 miles)
1958 TBird (square bird): 352cu/300hp; white/black and white interior (61,000 original miles)

Maybe I'll join you folks one day in the summer with one of the old cars. I'll keep checking for future meeting dates/time.

Enjoy your gathering.

If you do join us, bring the Galaxy 500. I'd like to see that one. Stay in touch.

Yeah, the Galaxy's a great car. I should have noted that it's a convertible. Tried to post pictures, but kept getting a "file too big" notification so I gave up. It's a cosmetically restored "driver", not a trailer queen.

I bought the car in 1967, so it's officially a family member.

I have the original sales paperwork on the 58 TBird (looking at 1958 prices will bring a tear to your eye), but can't post that in my gallery, either.

There's some nice spots for gatherings along the Hudson River on the Jersey side. Picnic (Palisades Interstate Park) areas and a great place to take pictures with the GW Bridge as a backdrop.

There's also a Houlihan's right on the river in Weehawken, NJ near the Lincoln Tunnel entrance/exit. (Check Mapquest: 1000 Harbor Blvd, Weehawken, NJ.)

Good place for pictures with the Empire State Building as backdrop.

If you ever want more driving direction info, just let me know.
