All I gotta say is at WOT, the car sounds soooo mean!!! Turns more heads. I took the more "scenic" route from my parent's house to mine last night and it was fun.

It probably is like 90% psychological and 10% actual but the car does feel faster. I think the louder intake sound is what makes it feel so much faster...haha.

Either way, I'm pleased with the intake and would recommend it. :)

Whenever you create some intake noise ...

I think we all want to think we are going a a bit faster than before.

Some I am sure do really help.

I've certainly done my share of flipping air cleaner lids on older carburated cars to enjoy the same.

One NOTE worthy FI vehicle I put a K&N open filter on ...

1992 F-250 w/a 460.

That thing sounded like an absolute BEAR when you would romp on it.

At that moment you forgot all about FI, & SWORE there were not one, but TWO free breathing Quadrajets lurking under there.

I can remember one particulary nice warm evening going down the street @ 30mph ... & jumped on it. There were some people hanging out on a porch & I heard one of them yell "DAAAAAAYYYYYUMMMMMMMM !" as it downshifted & just took off. These people hanging out looked more like that of your ricer crowd too.

Course' @ 225 miles on BOTH tanks of gas(yes you read that correctly) was the price you paid for such a thrill around town when my foot was heavy.

When I went from driving that most days to a 302 AWD Mountaineer(which aren't exactly fuel misers) ...

It was like stepping down to a Ford Escort ... gas mileage wise.

I totally hear ya. Compared to my 71 Nova, the Maraduer sounds like nothing!!! :D
