See they don't burn

Anyway, I had been out there for about an hour, there was probaly no less than ten marked units out there for traffic control stretched back a mile. Slowing traffic down. Well I took a picture of one of there newer cars

About ten minutes after I took this photo one of the troopers starts yelling, well I looked up and saw a 18-wheeler sliding sideways down the highway towards me. I thought for minute (half second) that interesting maybe he will get it stopped, then maybe not, well I hesitated to see which side I wanted to break for. By this time he had hit on MHP unit and was pushing it forward, heading for a second. I ran and got off to the side as the second MHP unit was hit. Still sliding forward this mass of vehicles hit a Lauderdale County Unit. As it was sliding forward I took an "action photo" The whole mass stopped and the County unit kept rolling down a median 100ft deep.

WOW!!!! Everybody 'OK'??? :awe:

What was the total damage/destruction??...ONE CV in the original accident, then THREE more when the truck slammed into everybody??

P.S. You're a great photographer, as I would have either dropped my camera and ran when the 18 wheeler was bearing down on me....
or just stood there and watched, never thinking to use my camera.

That was my initial thought as well. Way to maintain your composure and get the evidence on film (digits??). :D

A DUI on an 18-wheeler in broad daylight is scary. I wonder how frequently this applies out there on our roads?? :dunno:

Glad to see there were no serious injuries.

No that's one of the MHP Accident Reconstruction guys, H-44 not sure his name. His car is the one that is in the front. He came up from farther south to work the original wreck on the first Trooper. I have sprayed a little paint in the last couple of years though.
