I have been reading the posts the last few days since picking up my 03 Marauder last Monday and decided to make myself known finally :)

I'm 28, live in Warner Robins, GA and also own a 2003 Nissan 350z and 1996 Ford Ranger (The Beater).

Back when I bought the Z I was actually looking for a Marauder but couldn't find one around here. The Mercury dealer told me they get them through special order only because the numbers were limited. That turned me off to it so I got the Z then but over the last year the urge for the MM finally took hold so when I saw one online at a dealership for cheap I ran up to Atlanta to grab it and so far love it.

Driving back from Atlanta with it a rock was kicked up and chipped the windshield :( and yesterday noticed the rear driver side door lock actuator is bad. Not worried over that as I know how to change them out.

I found the speed volume control thanks to this forum, and have been reading about mods some. I think my first mods will be in this order:

1) Tint (I feel completely retarded without it as if I'm driving around naked or something)
2) Flowmaster Muffler (I've used 2 chamber one with my old mustangs but think 3 chamber will be a bitter classier and toned down)
3) Intake (The K&N is somewhat high but I'm sure reliable)

Sorry to keep babbling...just wanted to say hello!

-Ryan

Welcome, that was my first mod too, a new winshield thanks to those boys in Motown! Every cool car in the world can be seen there, too bad there are no drivable roads.

What he said !! That really is sucky about your windshield. Several years and cars ago, I had a piece of two by four fly up from the back of an empty car hauler on the interstate and hit smack dab in the center of the windshield. Didn't seem to harm the car, but it took several hours for my sphincter to unpucker.

I got hit by a rock(small boulder;) ) @ Dreamwood,It missed the windshield by less than an inch,

Probably be better off if it hit the glass instead:( .Now theirs a ding and a chip.

Ryan,

Welcome to the site! You'll find the answers to all your MM questions here! If you don't see your answer, (via the search tool) then just ask, (no matter how big or small the problem/mod/idea... whatever). Chances are if you have a question, someone here has thought about it, talked about it, or done it.
Welcome to the site that's All Things Marauder. I've learned a LOT since I've been here... I know you will too.

Talk to you soon.

We have drivable roads in Detroit. But we aren't gonna tell the tourists.

Hey Joe .... setting the speed volume does not count as a mod .. nor does it increase your RWHP.

:welcome: Ryan, to our world of mostly big guys with bigger grins. After the window tint, I'd be thinking about the various ways to cover those stupid hockey stick emblems. Do a search, as many of 'em are very clever. For instance, Merc used a Harley emblem for the center on his trunk, which is way cool. I found '69 Grand Marquis ones and lots of guys use the God's heads from the center wheel caps that look very good. Oh, don't forget the Shiney Hiney kit from Wes Chain at Innovative Interceptors, one of our vendors. You didn't tell us what color, but since it's an '03 I'm guessing black. :)

Welcome!!! I used to live in Warner Robins but I moved to Cochran so I am not too far from you. Enjoy the car :banana2: I certainly do. And welcome aboard like the others said there is a lot of good info here. I am still gettinf things out of this site and have learned to check here for any problems I am haveing before taking it to the dealer. I seem to find the fix here before the dealer can.

No, I couldn't afford a car with a warranty :(

I already have a pretty large car payment on the 350z (30,000 miles on it now) so I was looking for a Marauder around $16,000 and found a excellent one at a dealer in Atlanta. It was a company car that had all the maintenance done as required at the Mercury Dealer, no scratches, perfect interior, etc. Records show all the 60K stuff was done and tires were put on then as well.

The down side is it has 67,000 miles on it. Any Marauder's around here still with some warranty left go for mid to lower twenties.

Oh, and Cochran is nearby! Not much to do there though except grab a ice cream at Dairy Queen LOL :food:

Welocme to the site, I still keep getting suprised at everything you can find on this site..

I think Black MM's attract stones and things(?) :depress: , I'm soon going to need my third windshield, 12,000 miles. It could be COARSE sand while motoring(flying) down the b-way;) ;) !
