Has any one replaced the front tires on a 04 MM with the 245/55/18 as are on the rear? If so has anyone had a problem with the TC light coming on after doing so? I just replaced mine and now I have noticed the TC light comes on when I accelerate hard and the car wants to bog down. As soon as I hit the TC button to the off position the probem goes alway. What could this be?:help:

Your "puter" doesn't like the same wheel speeds front and rear with the same tires all the way around!! :argue:

The Traction Control is set up to accomodate smaller faster spinning tires up front. The ABS may not like it either....maybe somebody can re-program to eliminate the problem but I haven't heard about it yet??

Put the big ones on the front and small ones on the rear if you really want to see some wild stuff from your Traction Control......Someone posted that an unwitting Mercury dealer rotated their tires in the conventional way and the car went nuts!!

My winter tires 255's are same dia, summer 265/285 are nearly same dia. I need to turn off TCS switch to avoid light coming on with related cylinder drops, but after 19k miles and much playing around, I've never had ABS light or problem.

255/55/18 on front, yuk!!
