Tonight at work, some patrons noted that they were from the Clemson chapter SCCA and the BMW performance center. I spoke with them before I left work and talked cars for quite a while. I told them I wanted to autocross a Marauder if and when I got one and they thought it was a great idea! I told them about various cars from the website and one of the guys said:

"Well, I saw this Marauder video the other day on our forums doing a burnout for what seemed like half an hour...but you couldn't see the car after 30 seconds."

I laughed and asked if there was Metallica playing and he said yeah. We talked quite a bit more and they said my dad can come up and autocross next weekend if he liked.

They were VERY impressed with Billy's car when I told them about his mods, (the Eaton and the 4.56 gears) and they thought it was cool as hell.

Even the guy who had been dissing one of the member's Mustangs because it "was a Ford product" thought Billy's car was the ****net!

WAY TO GO BILLY! YOU ARE FAMOUS EVERYWHERE!

And I thought I could use colors...it's a Billy thang...

We should start calling him Reverend Billy, getting the word out all around the country about the potential of these cars. That's awesome, he may be increasing the resale as well, or come to think bring it down by proving how much we all beat on these cars.

LOL.......thanks for the report Jimmy. It was really fun for me to do that video, and more specifically, the burnouts that the vid included.:D But I agree with you that the best thing about it, is that it's just one of the things that helps to put our Marauders "on the map" so to speak. There are a number of people who've always payed attention to my Marauder (and to Marauders in general) but it seems that ever since I put that burnout vid on the net (with the help of guys like Nathan and Mike) there has been so many more people in my workplace (and I have literally thousands of co-workers. Some of whom I've never even met) as well as elsewhere, who never payed any attention to Marauders, nor thought twice about them until they got a look at that video. I now have people walking by me who I don't even know saying things like "Nice video"....or.."What did you do to that car you drive?".........or..."What kind of car is that?"

True Fact I was a chevy man for the longest time. I had a 03 Avalanche which had nothing wrong with it and low miles. A freind of mine E-mailed me that Video of the burnout, Well thats all it took, I went on Autotrader and found a Marauder in NJ, later that afternoon I was in NJ putting a down payment on it and putting my truck up as a trade in. Im Happy now But I May be cursing that Video When the Snow Falls!!!

If you were wise enough to try, Can you guess which supercharger the powers may bless one with?

Even Mercury had a hard time doing a burnout in a stock MM on smooth pavement.

BTW, After seeing Billy's Burnout video, I only need 2 things: a MM and a Trilogy kit. In fact, Make it 3: another job for gas money.

Hehehe

I had this conversation with these guys shortly after my boss told me to go home.

"But I don't want to go home...I like it here and I'm making money!"

Laughs "Yes son, I know you want to stay. Sweep and go home, Annlee will close"

Then I started babbling about Marauders. Everyone thought I'd get bored of them eventually.

NO SIR-EE! And Billy's video isnt' helpful in quitting the addiction!:D

I hope you meant Mercury should equipt the Marauder with a Trilogy kit.
If Ford ever produced a clip like BGM's can you imagin the disclaimer they would need?
