I need to replace my oem battery (no longer under original warranty 3/36) but when I search online at Sears, etc. they don't have a model for the marauder. Can anyone suggest a replacement battery and where to puchase it? Thanks for any help.

When I swap mine, it'll be for an Optima Red-Top...

Available through any decent parts store/warehouse....

You could buy a battery from your local Ford/Lincoln Mercury dealer. They have some that carry a 3 year free replacement + 5 year pro-rate with free towing.

I love my Optima red top but when Cruzer's battery needed to be replaced under warranty- the dealer used a Navigator battery (more CCA- same size). Maybe that will help your search.

And it even matches Todd's cam covers!

Had my battery replaced under warranty. When it needs replacement I will probably go with the Motorcraft but with a larger capacity.

I would use the Napa orbital battery... Cheaper than the optimas and great warranty.

Slightly different technology though. Here is a link to a brochure from the company that makes them for Napa I guess... I had one in my Mustang and it is the first battery that I ever killed MULTIPLE times and it charged back to full strength every time...
