I'm not sure what the difference is between 'concept' tail lights and 'production' ones are.............maybe I missed something:confused:
The only 'concept' pic I found(the convertible) has the same lamps as mine................:help:

I've only ever seen the CVPI style tail lights on the Marauders. Maybe the concepts were a little more dark

I think the 'concept ' tail lights picture that you seek are from the 'Marauder s55'

This photo looks like a prototype....take a close look at the tips and the 'Marauder' on the bumper..........but it still looks like the same lights:conufused:

I've seen hundreds of photos of the MM on the web since she captured my heart early last year. From concept car, to auto show samples. From the #1 production line roll out, to members dreaming and working the Photo Shop shift here. This is the first time I've seen THIS photo, Jefferson, and I'm just as confused as you now, too.
The tail lights are MM production. The back-up lights appear to have some treatment, as I compare them to my bright and clear back-up lights. The wheels are unique, and a first for me, visually speaking. The cardboard "Marauder" license plate is not, that's what I'm used to seeing on a test cars released to the mags and media for hands-on, but "drive on the street at your own risk" evaluation.
What's this MM pic? I don't know. But, it is surely not the S-55 that made the 2002 Auto show here, that is for sure.
Hope this helps, but somehow, I know it does not.

That pic is of the original, concept vehicle.
I.E. pre-production.
The wheels were Enkei's SST-2. Front wheels were 17", rears 18".
Horsepower rated "above 300 at rear wheels"
Ring any bells now?
I still wanted one then,but, I'm glad I got mine [300A] instead.;)

UMMMM, lets play 'how many things are wrong with this picture?'
1) Aftermarket wheels
2) Different size and manf. of tires (I think)
3) Marauder logo in wrong place on rear bumper
4) Key lock hole on pass. door handle (300A doesn't have)
5) Trunk badge from a Gran Marquis '98+
6) Tail lamps standard
7) Backup lites appear dark, film exposure issue. Look standard.
I did a close up zoom to make these guesstiments. I did not initially aquire the JPG and cannot trace its origin.

Nope. Not one bell heard here, Nomad, sorry. Maybe my web search engines are not as thorough as others, but I never saw this pic before, and I never, never, NEVER heard the brag of "300 HP at the rear wheels," on the production MM, because the MM was never measured, or, tested with that method. The HP/TQ quote from the factory was/is/has always been..."302 HP, 318 TQ," and that's from from LM, and from day one. Flywheel power numbers, Nomad, and I'm driving the proof of those numbers to the dyno this week for an update, thank you.

Damn you CRUZ! You are one observant and slick son-of-a-b**ch! You stole my one "hole card," Bud, with you eye for detail. S**t!
With all the discussions we have held here about the '03 MM, the 300A, 300B, decontent...And otherwise and so on, NO ONE has noticed or commented on the missing passenger keyed door lock, and that was my one "card" left to play in the web show down of who's real. S**t!
Well, I suppose most of us owners are not often passengers in our own MMs, and this oversight was kinda cool to me, in a "I know something you don't know" way...But, it was bound to come out someday.
Now...Back to Jefferson-Mo's confusion...
Just where did you find this photo? One more time, please?

Mac,
Go to Nomads link, its all there. Wait till you see the interior carpet.
Don't fret over the lock, I just noticed on saturday while waxing. I removed the trunk lock and painted it black. My first move in stealth design. I went to do the pass. lock, and there was none!

Save your breath, and fingertips, Nomad, considering the quality and accuracy of data related about the true production MM at this site, this link was a very early "heard something about a Marauder" 411 dream exploration. There are more inaccuracies than facts written here, so, best to leave it behind as an early "predicition," k? Not your fault, not in the least. It's a shame there isn't more of a "time-clock" on some web pages, yes?

Well said Sarge, as usual, and thanks. My middle aged eyes have been up since 4:30[plowing this crap, AGAIN]
Can't take a lot of viewing on this screen with or without glasses.
Just occured to me, horsepower rating might have been on the concept convertible, supercharged.
But, I would have sworn I read it somewhere.:help:
Could have been some of my "crack salesmans" pitch, too.:flamer:
Oh, well, as I said before, I still LIKE mine.:D

Hey Sarge! What is that S-55 that was mentioned in this thread? And there's a picture in the Reinhardt forum as well. What was it?
I can't search on "s55" or "s-55" because the term is too small.
Was that the blown convertible concept? What did I miss? I was at the 2002 Chiacgo Auto show, but I got free tickets to the black tie opening night event, forgot to eat all day, and then had an unspecified number of gin & tonics at the many open bars and, well, it's possible I missed a car or twelve. Definitely had a designated driver though. I don't mess around like that.

Found these pages on some foreign web site dated 25.11.1998
Called it the 1999 Marauder.
It does not show blacked out tail light.

The S55 was a Marauder concept car that was spruced up by Rouch. It was supercharged, and had some interior accents. Here are some pictures for everyone.

I also have the window sticker for this car containing all of the information but it is too large to post as a picture. Let me know if anyone is interested, or if they know how to submit with correct size.

One final thing concerning the taillights. They are Visteon tail lamps and backup lamps with DST industries Paint masks.
Also: This car had the Godshead logo in the grille. This was made by Lacks Industries http://www.lacksenterprises.com/
The twotone leather was done by Eagle Ottawa LLC http://www.eagleottawa.com/
DST industries is also responsible for the exterior badging. I hope this information helps anyone who is considering make there Marauder an S55 conversion. Theres an idea!
