My recently Trilogized MM (#67) is ill. I developed an illusive vacuum leak that caused a rough idle and then stall after a while. After checking, double checking and checking again... we found the blower itself has a very minor vacuum leak. The leak was found at the front of the case where the snout attaches. The leak is so mild that the boost / vacuum gauge shows proper readings. A sprits with a can of ether to the seam on the blower case confirmed what we suspected. Frankly, I was thinking that this "pisssssssssss" was just the nature of this beast.

And then there was some oil.... Blower lube was puddled on top of the blower and some bolt heads appeared to be "sweating".

Rick called Jerry. Jerry immediatly wanted to send out a new blower ( ). Instead, Jerry gave Rick the green light to attempt a repair by tightening the snout bolts. They were very tight:( . We stopped the oil leak, but the "pissssssssssss" was still there. No good. Rick called Jerry again. A new blower will be sent out next week.

Despite this set back, I am still a happy customer. Since I don't drive the MM as a commuter, I will not be set back by this. MarauderMark and I were going to the track with it tomorrow to see what she's got. Obviously that's going to have to wait, as will the dyno run I was to do today.

So thats whats new. Customer service at Trilogy is right on, no BS. Thanks again Jerry, I'm looking forward to gitnerdone, again:D .

Sorta... I've noticed other Eaton blowers at Amazon that looked similar. I dont know if they are painted after assembly or in seperate pieces..

Stopped by to see Jerry today. He and his organization are first class. I was also told that my kit may be ready next week. :banana2:

I really should not leave these threads hanging :o .

The readers digest version:

The new blower was installed and 6K miles later, all is still good. Check out the garage for everything else I've been up to since this thread was posted.

And a damn fast Marauder it is. I can't wait to see what kind of times you put down with some drag radials.
