It's showing on the wire diagram that I have....

brn/org...audio (-)
red/blk...audio (+)
drk grn/vio...audio mute
blk/lt grn...ground
red/yel...power

Let me know if this doesn't seem to fit the wiring that you are looking at.

Thanks shaft333. Once I got the box apart I discovered that the wires connected to sub are actually aftermarket spade connectors. The other thing I discovered is that the factory sub on my 04 was better than the Pyramid replacement sub I bought. Not sure whats in the 03, but the Pyramid is a direct replacement. 1st $19 takes, it shipping included.

Pyramid makes terrifically underperforming subwoofers. If this is the route your chosing , do a search and you'll find Rockford Fosgate makes a pretty much drop in replacement. I went with a Soundstream Free-air 10" sub.

I was thinking the same thing. Replacing bad with bad won't get you very far. I remember being 16 and all I could afford was some Pyramid junk from the pawn shop (most pawn shops are 'authorized' Pyramid dealers LOL). Man those were the days :shake:

In another thread on the factory subwoofer it was stated that the factory unit was a cheapy paper coned speaker. The Pyramid was stated to be a inexspensive way to improve the sound of the factory setup. Maybe the 03 used a paper cone. My 04 has a polymer driver with a much heavier magnet/voice coil than the Pyramid. I saw no sense installing a inferior driver. Like I said, if the 03 used a paper cone, then the Pyramid would be a cheap way to improve the sound. If the 03 uses the same driver as the 04, I'm guilty of not looking before leaping.

While we are on this subject, does anyone know of a direct replacement kick butt subwoofer?
