Think I want a spoiler (OEM style, not a wing!) but would appreciate some details. I know I would pay a dealer to put it on for fear of my 'in a hurry because of excitement' attitude will screw it up.

1) Where should I get it?
2) How much?
3) Is it painted already (Black)?
4) How much you think the dealer will stick me for installation?

This mod will be third on my list, which so far is:
1) 20% tint
2) Flowmaster 40's
3) Spoiler

Suggest that you contact Ray "The Dealer" here on the MM.Net for current prices. I checked out the spoiler with my dealer about a year ago. OEM spoilers come in Black, Blue, and Primed (unpainted). I seem to recall that the painted version was about $275 and installation was about $175. Total in the area of $450 using the collocated body shop. I think I have seen better deals here on the site. :D

$450 seems a bit extreme indeed!

If you buy the pre-painted spoiler, chances are you will not be happy with the paint. I ordered one and when it cam out of the box paint was damged and had orange peel. Then got second spoiler and spoiler was poorly packed and was damaged. Many folks had the same problem.

Ray, 'The Dealer' now ony sells the primer spoiler, however your local dealer can get you the pre-painted.

I just got my primer spoiler from 'The Dealer' and am having it painted for $100 w/clearcoat.. Also, prepainted spoiler does not have factory clearcoat on it, so at an angle the paint looks different.

$175 for install is WAYYY high. Just get a friend and install it yourself. It will take you less than an hour and many folks here have done it.

Good Luck,

Paul

I got my spoiler from Torrie at www.fordpartsnetwork.com for $219.99 plus $7 for shipping and installed it myself (with no special skills or tools) in a little over an hour. The price may be a bit more now, as that was 2 years ago...

There's no reason to pay a body shop $175 to install it...if I can do it, anyone can...

twolow, if you're in southeastern MA, I'll install it for the price of lunch...

I was doing a few searches and saw for $250 a OEM black painted one can be found (plus shipping).

The local FLM dealer quoted me $260 for a black one.

It is not that hard to install it yourself. The hardest part is drilling that first hole. The directions that the spoiler comes with are excellent.

I finished my spoiler install last night and I must say this should have beena standard option. Simply beautiful. The install was surprizing easy. Just take your time.
