The turnout was great today. Lidio made a few more adjustments from last night, when we took out some timing because it blasted out a 519 RWHP. Confident he had found a good solid safe tune along with his tweeking, we decided to give it another pull this morning. Even kicking out some timing, it still ran great. The Motor City Crew were stoked by the results, along with a suprised Lidio and yours truely!
511.5 RWHP and 493.7 RWTorque at just under 14 lbs of boost.
I am very pleased with the results and wanted to take a minute to stop and thank Lidio and his seemingly bottomless bag of tuning tricks.
As far as I know, these are the highest power numbers for a stock untouched engine, along with a minimum of mods.
Gonna be a fun summer!

Well I hope I get everyone who was there.Jerry,Jerry D.Dave,Mike Z.,Mike A.,Darryl,Robert,Dave,John S.,John O.,Dean,Myself and last but far from least is Demeitri(spelled right?)who at his first Motor City Marauder event turned out 492H.P.on the dyno(didnt get your torque) We kept Lidio busy all day as most of us went on the dyno just to get a tweak or two. Thanks agian to Lidio and all his crew as they kept things running smoothly and making it a great event. http://home.comcast.net/~hack_goby/DSCN1105.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~hack_goby/DSCN1106.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~hack_goby/DSCN1107.JPG

Its great, always one of the more popular events during the year. Lots of testosterone floating around on dyno day! It was good to see some members that dont make every event.

Thanks a lot Hack! My final numbers were 492 RWHP and 487 RWTQ. I had a great time whith all you guys, despite Daves' nauseating Dyno run. ;) Oh, and its Dimitrus, but you can call me Dimitri, Deebar, or Dee. Just dont call me Dave because my pee pee is just is'nt that large. :depress:

Dee,
With your impressive numbers, I am happy to share biggest pee pee honors with you. We have a pair of the baddest Marauders on the planet, maybe in the top 3 or 4? That was awesum for a drive on dyno! I think your JLT intake helped a lot (pictured below). Dee pulled just over a full pound more on boost alone with the same pully as me, we think the smooth wide open JLT intake tube is the reason. Needless to say, JLT will be getting a run on them real soon by Trilogy owners!

Nice numbers! What have you done with the engine internals to support the power output? Regards, -kjs-

Nothing at all to the engine. A decent safe tune, civil driving, and an occasional prayer to the Big Guy is all i have going for me.

511 RWHP to the pavement is very impressive!
I just reread the thread by MMsuperfan, whose dyno results were 441 RWHP and 397 RWTQ with a Trilogy kit, 9.5 Pulley, Kooks setup, 4:10's, 180 stat, custom tune.
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17009&highlight=trilogy
BillyG seemed to have an issue with those numbers (which were gained with the listed mods) and even stated that the timing being advanced more than 13 degrees total would be questionable.
I had no idea that such numbers could be achieved by running 4 more PSI or possibly 2.5 degrees more timing than that in the base Trilogy tune.
Surely the Pro M 80 MM MAF, 373 gears, or the Accufab intake are not responsible for this large jump.
I am just confused about where the gains have come from, but the numbers are impressive nonetheless

Well...here we go again. I guess the being civil is back out the window. Why do you insist on taking this approach? It doesnt suprise me to hear you dont understand someting to do with a supercharged marauder, so I will explain it so my 8 year old can understand.
I was at 460 rwhp at the end of last year. Still with me? I added the Kooks, Throttle body, Magnaflow hi flow Cats and my exhaust guy took out as many of the sharp bends in the pipes as he could. Still with me. I guess if you do the math, like Logan said, the Kooks and Throttle body and cats contributed 50+ rwhp. So what is your question again???

Thanks, how did you get to 460?

If I recall, small pulley, fuel pump, Pro-m and conical filter, replacing the 2 in H pipe with the 2 1/2 in Magnaflow X pipe and the 18 in Magnaflow mufflers, and a good tune is where I was at last year.

I am not trying to be uncivil. The dyno numbers you posted are great. People naturally want to know how you progressed from point A to point B.
I have been learning more and more the past 2 years, so what follows is just personal speculation.
Do you feel that as you increased from 9.5 PSI to 13.5 PSI with a smaller pulley the benefit was approx. 15 HP per PSI? Where you running 13.5 PSI last year or less?
The Pro M MAF sounds like it can be used for tuning beyond the capabilities of the stock MAF, coupled with the conical filter (similar to the K&N setup?) probably resulted in a 15-20 HP gain.
With the increased air intake and modified exhaust (the gains there are well known) more fuel had to be thrown into the equation which might be beyond the capabilities of the stock pump and Boost A Pump so you either have a Dual Ford Cobra pump setup or a Focus Pump or some other 255 LPH pump. Which leads to me ask how are your 39/42 lb fuel injectors doing? Maxed?
The custom tune with a couple degrees more timing obviously increased your HP and TQ numbers. The only way to increase the timing for more HP and TQ would be to cool the AIT, that is my opinion.
See no hidden agenda here. I believe your numbers, just wanted to see the progression. The reason I brought up the other thread was because it was implied those kind of numbers were not possible, which I disagree with.
Watch your bottom!

I have found that 1 psi of boost can equal 15-20 RWHP.
The avarage 03,03 Cobra will gain 1.5 psi with a JLT CAI and all translate into about 20-28 RWHP.
This is with no tune, add a tune and more can be found for sure. The same principal should be true for a Trigioly Marauder.
Just my opinion, well, and some fact  .
