Friday I noticed that my right side fog lamp was missing!! :mad2:

I got under the car and it was hanging by the wire!! :bows: I disconnected the wire and the screws that hold it to the bumper facia were still there but the lower plastic bracket was broken?

It seems when I ran over the plastic junk on the interstate a month or so ago it discombubilated(sp) the fog lamp as well as destroying the plastic access flap below it!! :o Called my dealer and the fog lamp bracket is $9.00 so I will have it fixed next week....For now a bit of duck tape and no high speed runs!!!

So the airdam isn't broken? It's just the bracket that broke? Odd.

The "air dam" like thingy in front of the tire is cracked so I'm replacing it too but I cannot see where it would directly effect the foglamp support point?? It is supported at the bottom by a plastic push pin in the bumper facia.

What surprises me is both top screws in the mounting bracket backed out and were still in the bracket?? Lucky?? :bows:

Does not suprise me,Months after a left front deer hit,I was looking around the car,( shortly after I noticed plastic pieces inside the bottom of my air box)looking for other stuff, the bodyshop that did the repair, might have missed.

I found the foglamp bracket was cracked .The lamp was in crooked and loose.
I did not bother the body shop with the issue. The part was >five bucks, and my dealer installed for gotts.:twocents: :P .
So I can see how a hit that is severe enough to punture the bumper cover could easily crack or distort a flimsy plastic bracket.
