Well...last week was very productive for us. Heather and I got a chance to head up to Detroit again for 2 days to see some friends, and to get some work done on my MM.
Nothing like a stop at Alternative Auto, and Capers to break up the work week! Capers was a blast, I can't believe the steak deals...and the ice cream cruise in was fun as well. See you all again soon.
I finally got my Flowmaster 40's and my Megs Delete tips installed. I got them as christmas presents, and I have been very anxious to hear what it all sounded like. The mufflers, and tips aren't a performance mod for me, just a sound mod. I figured while I was up there, I would have Lidio tweak out my race tune for the 100 octane gas.
Needless to say, I am incredibly pleased with the sound mod, and the performance. Lidios shop is a blast to hang out at, lots to learn for a newbie like me!
Here are the new video clips :

The first two are my dyno pulls, and the last one is a sound clip. I dynoed at 269.4 rwhp / 294 rwtq. Mods are chip, 4.10's, weld in mufflers, and tips...dynoed using 100 octane gas. I uset it because it's as readily available to me as 91 and 93 are to you. I say thats a pretty good starting number for the modest mods I have.
Hope you all enjoy.

Cool, sounds pretty good!
Do you have numbers on 93 octane? Just wondering what the gains are with 100 octane?

Thank you! I truly enjoy the sound!
Unfortunately I don't have numbers with 93 octane. I'm sure Lidio could answer that question for you if you asked him though. The 100 octane allowed him to get a little more aggressive with my tune, and I can certianly feel the difference.
I'm pretty sure a good amount of N/A, 93 octane running MM's with similar mods as me dynoed just recently. If they could post their numbers and mods, it might give you the info you're looking for. Sorry I couldn't help further.

How is it you can get 100 octane?

How is it you can get 100 octane?
There's a speedway gas station that sells race gas thats close to where I live. Fortunately for me, it's right on the way to the dragstrip I go to, and when I hop on the highway to head for Detroit. It's called 100 Unleaded CAM2. CAM2 is a brand of racing gas like VP Race gas. Except my unleaded CAM2 comes right out of the pump. It's off on it's own from all the normal pumps, and with the price of gas recently isn't that bad of a deal in price!

SO is this safe to use on a stock MM?
Reason i ask is if I'm out and about and happen to see this octane being sold somewhere I wouldn't mind running it through her. I don't think anything like that is around here at the pumps but I will be taking the MM out on some trips this summer and may come across it.

I'm sure some of the more experienced people might follow up with this response.
I have 2 tunes on my SCT superchip...one for 93, and one for 100, and I have room for 2 more tunes that I will use in the future. Personally, I wouldn't use 100 on an unchipped MM because you wouldn't really get a benefit, there's just no need for it. I wouldn't use 100 octane unless you has a custom tune for it. As far as it hurting things...I doubt it. Just your wallet!

Nice numbers Matt
Sorry I missed you this time, I'll catch you on the next trip!
BTW, there is nothing "bad" about running the CAMII 100 unleaded. It has all the usual additives the 93/94 has and is completely safe for O2 sensors, cats, etc. Its all I run now.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I really hope you make the next visit...I'll probably end up on the dyno again for a few pulls, and then hop on over to Capers! That place rules with the steak deals.
You guys must have really beat on Lidios dyno saturday! Sorry I missed that one. I don't think Ive had a saturday off from work since I saw you guys at FFW Norwalk last year.
Nice new numbers for you too...I see you're over 470rwhp now huh?
Sniff...Sniff...whats that? Do you smell that?
I think I smell 2 new future 11.xx second Marauders!

LOL...As long as I don't blow the skins of the rims at the light, I should be in 11 sec territory now:) A little seat time and launch practice makes a world of difference at the tree.
