Well dont mind me fella's, I'm just sizin up the competition...:D I was wondering if anyone on here owns a Marauder in the Morristown part of Jersey? I'm in Long Valley and I saw one in Chester the other day going to work...Another thing, Englishtown opens Saturday (1) and Island opens Sunday(2), anyone gonna be there? Maybe we could get a lil SS vs. Marauder showdown... :burnout:

I'm not in NJ but I do want to comment on E.T.s. I have been trying to get someone to give us a true 1/4 mile E.T on the marauder without success. Everyone quesses low 14's but I guess no one has been to a drag strip. I guess low 14's too but the car is capable of high 13's with mods.

Have a little patience B, there is not a strong owner base present here from warmer climates at this time of year. West Coast and Southern regions may have tracks open, but we also need an MM owner from those regions to be members here, and willing to race their MM too. Those of us here who do want to see these times as much as you do, are either snowed in, or do not have a track available over the winter months. Spring's comming soon enough.

ChruiSSer,

People that did run their cars last fall were getting times ranging from high 14's to mid 15's. My Impala beat the Marauder in short runs, but the Marauder beat it in the 1/4. That was with both cars being stock. I'll get some more times this spring when the tracks around here open. Our Chevelle club is going up to Byron on May 4, and I'm going to surprise them by bringing up the Marauder :D

Hell, Pete, why not invite some of us along with you? I'll be ready to run by May, want some back-up?

I don't - but several members of this forum have ETs in their sig, don't they?

SergntMac,

I put that in an earlier message, under "getting closer" but got no takers. Byron, Joliet, and Great Lakes all open up on April 5. We will have to set something up for all of us to go. We can talk about it on the 9th.

I live about 3 miles from Englishtown's Raceway Park. I try and race it opening day. I predict 14.5

Ordered the gears today from Rienhardt. I already have the chip. I will install gears next week at my shop assuming business slows down a bit.

I'm in Montville, NJ and I ran 15.4 at Island in July, shortly after taking delivery. I was disappointed but it was hazy, hot and humid mid 90s and perhaps not broken in yet. I will return to englishtown this spring and hopefully with the gears, chip etc from Reinhart.
