Oil Deflector Installed

Thanks to TheDealer, Ray Sr., who got this too me in record time. It's a great part and works great... Scott took off the oil filter and the old oil actually was deflected into the waste container.

Here are shots of the part before and after installation (the streak of oil was on there before, probably from last oil change)

I installed mine last week. Also purchased from "Dealer". Local shops all say they can't get them, or can't order them, or Ford won't let them order them. "Dealer" must be doing something right.

Cool I need to get one. Had the Merc's oil changed today and was wondering why in the hell would Ford be so stupid to let oil drain on top of the rack & pinion.:confused: Then again after thinking about it and realizing I work for Ford and see the dumb **** they do, I there had my answer.:rolleyes: Either way I must have one now.

If it weren't for the lack of a deflector on my 00 Vic, there'd be a lot of rust on my steering linkages. Instead the oil coats it and protects it. :D

Anyone that has owned a 20+ year old car with leaky seals and stuff will know how well the oil and grease protects from rust. :P
