I'm getting the gears installed on friday and was wondering if they will be bad in the rain. I got the superchips computer and did 136 today! Fun Fun Fun. Also what do you think the car will run with the superchips and the 4.10 gears? 14's I hope

Gotta know your limits in the rain no matter what gear ya have, your speed on public roads? Speeds kills, don't cha know?

You'll re-learn how to handle it. And it will become no different than what you are used to now.

I have my 4.10 ring and pinion on the way. According to some people that posted before, Even with the Gears installed and a chip, the Car still wont smoke the tires from a dead stop without a little power braking. I assume the car will be easier to drift around turns if you apply some throttle mid-turn, but as for starting off normally it shouldnt have any effect. As for being within the 14's IMO I think thats definitly a good possibility. However! expect mid to High 14's, it will take a bigger chunk of change and more packages in the mail to make the low 14's lol

The 4.10's will slow you down from the sound of it since it will top out at 140 now. :D 14's in the 1/4 for sure :coolman:

You should easily be in the 14's. If your not then I would look into the tune on your Superchip!

I had the 410-SuperChip setup and it would run mid 14's. It would break the tires loose from a dead stop and hit second hard. You will see a difference. Enjoy.

Mine will spin the tires from a dead stop on smooth pavement. Chirps 2nd almost everytime on WOT. :)

Hell, if yours is like mine it barks the tires in the shift to 2nd even when you're not at WOT. If I'm just pulling away semi-agressively it barks them. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Look for mid to low 14's. With just a flash, u/d's and a K&N, I'm at 14.5 with the stock gears.

OK then WTF is up with my car???, I dont get the 2nd gear chirp and I dont leave a long rubber strip from a dead stop. I have a superchips 1725 tuner that increases the line pressure in the tranny. I guess with the 4.10s installed Ill be getting these little bits of extra fun.
I plan to be going to the track this weekend to see what Im running with my Mods before the 4.10s. I pull a 14.5 or better, Ill be attempting to do a backflip in celebration lol

I've got 4:10's, chip and torque converter. Smoke the the tires with ease and consistent chirp shifting to second.

Into my third set of rear tires with only 36,000 miles on it!

With gears and SCT Tune I was 15.00 even. If you want to chirp the tires change the Torque Converter. In my opinion except for a S/C this is one of the best performance mods.

These cars really need the gears and PCM reprogrammed. I had the 4.10s I purchased from Dennis installed by the selling dealer last Fall, and a SCT tuner from Dennis. Both at a very good price. The dealer also had to replace the leaking pinion seal after a couple of months for free. Dennis has provided me with a few modified programs since, and the most recent program he sent me last week is the best so far. I don't know about the 1/4 mile time or dyno results, as I was just interested in some better street performance, and got it.

4.10s were one of the best things I ever did to my Marauder. I think I was one of the most worried people on this board before and during the swap, thinking about what it would be like.

This is slower than some that are bone stock.
my best stock was 15.2.
