First of all the chip has been on EBAY for a few months now.
Its only good on a 2003, not a 2004.
The Chip can be flashed to match the calibration on your car,
but if you're going to buy a chip, why not get it already programmed
from someone who already supports our site ??

BigJoeP (the seller on e-bay) is a member him. Why not PM him and ask him your questions?

^^^what MIB said^^^
The actual hardware is a small part of the cost of a "chip" from reliable vendors such as Dennis, Wes, and Lidio...it's the programming that's ON the chip that's important. Unless the programming EXACTLY matches your car's catch code and mod list, you'll have to have it re-burned...then if it doesn't work properly, is it the chip or the programming that's faulty? It's not fair to ask a programmer to stand behind something he didn't sell, so you'd be SOL.
*EDIT* Just saw Marty's reply...if it's from Big Joe P, I'm sure it's a good chip, but my other comments still apply...

Way back then, Diablo had their name on two things, the physical chip, and the custom tune it carried. The original Diablo chip was built on red PCB, and one end had the horns of a bull sticking out as a trademark. Diablo may be the software vendor for this chip, but it looks like a Delta chip to me, with ports for an LED, on/off switch, and a key lock. If so, it's SCT compatable.
Like MartyO said, it's BigJoeP's chip, and the program is for a supercharged Marauder, so, it will have to be reprogrammed to be useful. But, Diablo and SCT are both very alive and well today, so, it's not worthless.
Anyone interested in this chip should ask Dennis, or, Diablo to take a peek at it first just to be sure. And if it is, and you buy it for the right price, you could save some money. Any of you senior members still running on a single file chip would benefit too. Having two chips on hand gives you some flexibility. Like I just posted in another thread, you could set one up with a "dyno only" profile with transmission settings for more accurate dyno testing. If I used chip based programming, I'd buy it.
Just my .02c...

A chip is on my list of things to get but I'm not quite there yet. I was just wondering if the chip went for hundreds normally and that was a steal of a deal but it sounds like I'd rather just get the chip and the proper tune on that chip at the same time.
