How do you remove the A-pillar and where should I drill through the firewall?
just pull the A-Pillar down - it is held on by 2 clips.
I have my guage's installed but have not pulled wire into engine compartment yet.

How do you remove the A-pillar^^^what Directedby said^^^
and where should I drill through the firewall? You don't need to drill...look up under the dash to the right of the accelerator pedal, you'll see a rubber grommet with a couple of vacuum lines going through it already...just poke a hole through the grommet. That's where I routed the vacuum/boost line for my boost gauge.

I used the same hole/grommet, but I had to climb on top of the engine to get to the wires wayyy down behind the engine.

When i was installing police equipment in the CV's I would either use the exisiting mass wire passthrough in the passenger floorboard or make a new hole on that side. I have found the passenger side to be easier.
Pull the rubber seam down and then just grab the top of the pillar and pull, one clamp will pop out then the lower one will.
EDIT: by the time I could type this everyone beat me to answers :P

How do you remove the A-pillar . . .
Guys - you can't read. He said he wanted to remove the A-Pillar. You just told him how to remove the A-Pillar cover.
Chainsaw would be my recommendation. Or a diamond saw.
I guess he's making a Marauder convertible. Or a Landaulet (you know - the chauffeur-driven car with the open portion for the driver and a closed portion for the passengers).
Geez - doesn't anyone pay attention?

I'm with you.... gonna take some real he-man work to get that "A" out alright. One technique I've seen to work pretty well a few times in the past was for the driver to get rolling at a brisk 70 MPH or more and drive underneath a fully loaded semi trailer. That should take out both the "A" pillars.... but than you gotta brake real quick to avoid taking out the "B's" too. All you're gonna need than is the chauffer's uniform and cap to complete the job. P.S. Don't forget the black leather bow tie.

Sheriff Rosco Coltrane was a pro at removing the roof off of his 4 door. Happened all the time :)
