I have been in contact with a company that makes automotive badges, mainly reproduction badges for restorations, that has told me they are willing to make badges/emblems for the Marauder, in the same typeface used for "Marauder" on our cars. This would be, for example, a "supercharged" or "S/C" or "Marauder S" or S55 badge(s) in the same typeface and style used on our cars (the S55 would be a duplicate of the SEMA S55 car badge).

I need to gauge interest in this product in order to give them a rough estimate for pricing and production run.

So, if any of you are interested and would purchase such a badge, please respond here --- and you are welcome to pipe in with other badge ideas or enhancements as needed.

Respond to the poll, and you can vote for more than one item.

Please indicate by reply if you would buy more than one badge.

are these badges chrome? chromes plastic? plastic? From their website:

All emblems on these cars have been painstakingly reproduced to exactly duplicate the originals. The quality of these reproduction emblems is stunning. In fact, our reproductions are too perfect in that they do not have the flaws and color variations found in the factory original emblems. These flaws were due to the manufacturing process, which involved the hand crafting of the emblems by a small custom jewelry maker. Our emblems have no flaws and the color is consistent among all emblems, as well as each emblem itself.

The quality of thier emblems is excellent. Here's a shot of sail panel emblems for the Impala SS:

And here are some color emblems for the GTO:

And billet side panel badges that are body color matched:

http://www.carmotorsports.com/images/Cloisonne-Emblems/GTO_Torrid_Red_Shield_sm.jpg (http://www.carmotorsports.com/images/Cloisonne-Emblems/GTO_Torrid_Red_Shield_lg.jpg)

http://www.carmotorsports.com/images/Cloisonne-Emblems/GTO_Yellow_Shield_sm.jpg (http://www.carmotorsports.com/images/Cloisonne-Emblems/GTO_Yellow_Shield_lg.jpg)

They could, for example, make a badge similar to this with MARAUDER and below it 4.6 LITRE or 4.6L DOHC. What would be cool is to change the shape and the checkerboard graphic be more of a flapping checkered flag.

Here's a larger shot done in black:

Donny I'm all with you on this one.

Either MARAUDER on top with "4.6L DOHC" below or just "4.6L DOHC" as just one badge. Those look nice :cool4:

I voted for the S55 repro, I'd be interested in seeing the supercharger one though. I'd only put the S55 on once I'm supercharged, maybe I could make it stand for 455 HP and 455 Trq.

Why? You all have S55's, it was the option back in the day that included bucket seats and console with shifter, among other things like lighting and such.
The S use to stand for Super as in the Super Marauder FE engine series.
The 55, I have no idea what that was suppose to mean.

IMHO the S55 concept was supercharged, so if I wanted to put the badge on my car, it would have to be supercharged aswell. I'm sure once they are made people will be putting them on non S/C'd MMs. Its just my view point.

BTW I thought I was done putting things on the outside of my car, didnt want to give too much away, but every since I saw the concept pictures I was very interested in the S55 badge.

I thought about what to vote for on these badges then after some thought I didn't vote at all.

If I were supercharged or the like I may have considered as I want everyone to know I have a S/C when they see my car parked or at a red light...show off the debt I'd be in :)

But I'm not going to 'front' and pretend to have something I don't as I'm way past my 'ricer' days. I may consider a fender badge like mentioned above as I do have a DOHC :cool4:

S55 would be cool, S/C means supercharged:D

I liked them all except the Marauder S. Marauder S is a Kenny Brown brand designation I thought.. Not that it would lokk bad or anything, but it'd be like me putting a vortech badge on my car, IMHO.

I'd forget the T67 idea in favor of a proper S55 in black reflective.

Very kewl Donny :)

MARAUDER
TRILOGY SUPERCHARGED

MARAUDER
VORTEC SUPERCHARGED

MARAUDER
PROCHARGER SUPERCHARGED

Okay folks, I need some help here in getting a better shot of the SEMA car's S55 Emblems. The only shots I have are the ones posted on here from the Crown Vic website. If anyone has better shots of the SEMA Roush S55 car, especially of the emblems. PLEASE email them to me. If somebody knows somebody at Roush and can get some pics of the car, please let me know.

The maker needs better images to work from to make these emblems.

The emblem maker emailed me this jpeg showing the specs on an emblem that can be easily modified for us. Instead of 5.7 it would say 4.6 and could say DOHC V8 or Supercharged V8

Also - what do you folks think about high quality God's head replacement emblems for the front and rear badges? They said this are doable as well.

What he said^^If I ain't got the goods, I don't advertise that I do.

probably stems from working for the dealer, and seeing mostly kids buying 5.0 emblems for thier Pony Mustang or Cobra snakes for anything that is not a Cobra.
the interior pic shows a godshead badge for the center of the steering wheel,I like that alot! I have seen the one that many of the members have, that sticks over the existing waterfall/hockey sticks, this one appears to be different.Donny ? anyone have info?

Hey Donny,

Will this help for the S55 emblem? If they work with fonts, I used Helvetica Neue 96 Black Italic, with a little bit of tweeking to get a better angle.

(I'm kinda picky 'bout that kinda stuff.) I'd probably prefer a black-chromed version, or maybe
non-chromed, and have 'em painted blue...

I want to share part of another email that gives some more information on the god's head badges.... they are in production and will be available soon.

Here's the excerpt:

"Just thought I would let you know that production of the God's Head Badges for the Front Grille and the Rear Trunk Lid have commenced. I expect completion within a few short weeks.... These emblems will install and appear EXACTLY like the factory emblems, only they will be cloisonne metal emblems and not cheap plastic emblems as used on the car."

This will be GREAT!
