Good luck with the track outing!

BTW, we'll be organizing a MCM track day shortly for those itching to get to the track and hang out for a day in the nice weather!

Best run was my first run. 13.130 - the stupid time slip didn't have mph though.
60 ft time 1.939, 1/8th mile 8.553 @ 87.09 mph

The second run was 13.384 at 103.40 with 60 ft of 2.010.

After the second run I installed my K&N kit. I made a lot of runs after that but I think I was just too anxious because my 60 foot times were all over 2 second. However my trap speeds were all around 105 after I installed the filter. That's an extra 1.5 mph. I know I only have one run to compare it to though. Most of the times were 13.2 - 13.4 ish and I made pass after pass with very consistant results. When I get all the time slips together I might post them up here to share.

Despite the fact that I need to refine my launch technique, it was a fun day and I ended up running into a good old high school buddy I haven't seen in years who was there testing out a new motor he put in his low 9 second Grand National. I guess it was making alot of power as he broke an axle shaft (35 tooth spline) in the 9 inch Ford rear end! Mean machine.

I raced against a stock looking SN95 model mustang GT and just destroyed him. Maybe 10 car lengths! Although I think he was really smoking 'em off the line. And of course I had to lay waste about 5 times to this loud one wheel wonder fart pipe rice mobile.

Also I met a guy with a Mach 1 and an Alternative Automotive sticker in his window. He had a seriously built NA 4.6 with nitrous running in the 11's. Nice guy, and I love the fact that anywhere you go you run into Alternative customers!

With a good launch and the K&N I bet I'd run a 13.0. I'm thinking about 4.10's and the 305's on the back. That would probably put me in the 12.8-12.9 range. Then the headers (that'll be a while) should go maybe 12.5 to 12.6? Mid twelves in a totally comfortable daily driver - how sweet it is!!! I absolutely love this car. And I'll tell you what, I love it more today than I did Friday. I didn't drive MEMA until about 4:30 today and when I got in it, I had this warm feeling come over me - I think I'm in love!!! What a sweet ride!

Great day overall! Thanks for asking.

Lapeer sucks the big one. I guess they still didn't fix the timing system. A friend has run there at least 3 times and noted a 10 mph difference in actual trap speed.

I ran there one day last year and all my trap speeds were 10 mph slower than what they should have been. I asked everyone else there and they all shrugged. I guess it makes sense to drop 0.5 seconds and also drop 10 mph.
Out of 14 runs, only ONE had the "right" trap speed and even that value is suspect but is close enough.

I ran at Ubly but it's a 4 hour round trip, great track, great traction, etc...
I hear Milan is MUCH better than Lapeer but it is usually crowded.
