Is that what those "buttons" are on new fancy car bumpers???
I wondered why some high end cars have round plugs on the bumper...maybe this is why!! :bows:

Been watching these "kits", but I'm waiting for one with 4 sensors. Need some more protection for those things that just hang out everywhere.

For 50 bucks I'd day its worth a shot.
Display looks a little Knight Rider. See if theres a remote unit you can wear as a watch to talk to your car.

hmmm,.. but how to connect? I don't really wanna drill into the bumper!
..and the 'stick-ons' look cheesy.
I guess I'd have to see what it looks like installed.

Town Cars have them right? It's possible but would be hard to hide them on our bumpers and hope they work right. If the range is adjustable you might be able to tuck them under the car somewhere like the rear axle or something:dunno:

Yes T/C's have them. Factory equiptment starts to beep 6' away, gets progressively faster till you are within two feet. Then constant beep. The only negative feedback I have heard is, when you forgot you turned it off!:sleepy:,..BooM:censor:

I'm interested in them since most of the cars I rent for business have them (mostly Lincolns & Grand Marquis) but don't want to drill the bumper or stick anything on it. If there is enough interest I'll see what kind of deal I can get so a kit that mounts behind the bumper.

I have them on my Cadillac DTS. I imagine Logan has them on his new Cadillac too.
Once you have them, you don't want to leave home without them. :D

I bought that kit for mine, its good, but I'd like to see about finding a less 'dinky' sounding speaker/beeper, i.e. one from a BMW or the town car one. I was skeptical since they didnt even spell "Marquis" correctly, but for 50 bucks and preserving a Marauder bumper cover, its worth the trouble. I hid the unit next to the CD changer and mounted the speaker on top of the subwoofer. You will have to remove the taillights to install the wiring, and the center plastic trim piece to hide the wiring. Open the trunk and you see nothing. Looks completely stock.
They're great for parking lot maneuvering, the only pet peeve I have about it is that if I go 'through' it (i.e. from park to drive) it beeps like one or two times as I go to drive.
But I love mine. And yeah, I had to drill, but it looks factory, the sensor is pretty close to factory red, (better than black at least anyway).

Thanks Wes! I look forward to seeing those pics... I'm considering this, hell for $50 bucks I think it may be worth it!

Hey f0rk, I was asking about these a while back, after my adventures backing into (literally) my garage. Those ones look the best I've seen, yet; and I'm anxious to see how they work for you. They came standard on Barb's Aviator, and we like 'em, a lot.;)

I like the backup sensors when I had my F250, it just used sound. I do not like the light/gauge thing in the rear view though. Also, unless I saw someone elses bumber first, I'm not sure I'd drill into mine.
However I liked having it.
