I looked through previous threads to find what other members are using for a cooler plug for N/A Marauders.
I got a set of AWSFA 12c is the gap set at .032-.035?
Alot of guys do The plugs and 180* thermostat.Has anyone checked the gap on thier origional plugs and found them to be much different than this?

Bradley, the 12Cs are spec'd by Dennis for his particular tunes...Lidio (and others) may spec a different heat range; it would be best to check with your tuner.
The stock plugs are 32C, one step cooler is 22C, and 2 steps cooler is 12C. The correct gap, regardless of which plug you're using is .054 for N/A and .032 for supercharged.

Thanks,I am glad I asked,Lidio did the tune for my SCT 9100 and he suggests stock plugs are fine for N/A Marauders.

The reason colder plugs are spec'd is for reducing the chances of harmful detonation. I live in SE MI near Lidio's shop. I use AGSF-12FM1 spark plugs gapped to 0.054" on a N/A 4.6L SOHC V8. I pulled them and NONE of the plugs showed signs of fouling. In fact, they're gray/white indicating normal temperature operation.
When spark plugs foul, you'll feel erratic changes in idle leading to stallouts. The plugs will REEK of gasoline and will be PITCH BLACK.

I am going to stay with the plugs that Lidio suggests.Bradley G
