I was just wondering if there were anymore new MMs on any dealers lots in the country? It wasnt that long ago they were languishing there (mine had sat on the lot for 6 months) but it sure seems like they are gone now. Maybe we should post where the last new ones are (if any) so somebody looking could find it. Just a thought.

Mine was made in Dec 02 and sold August 17 03.

That is more than yours at 8 months.

When I looked at them in July 2003 the salesman realy did not know what he was selling.

During a business trip I drove a grand marquis and liked it. Looking at them, the salesman also showed me the MM. At that time the GS was 18K the LS was 24K and the MM was 36K. The salesman could not explain the cost difference beside saying it had performance stuff with different dash and bumpers. I had to find out for myself the differences.

Thanks for asking, was thinking about starting this same thread just a couple of days ago.

My recollection is that the last of the MMs at the country's largest LM dealer, North Park in San Antonio TX, are all sold out.

Rick N Miami bought one of the last ones from there for under 25k, even though he paid for shipping to Miami.

Cruztaker saw a 300 A in Vermont a few months ago, but the name of the LM store escapes me.

If anyone knows of any that still exist, please pass the info along.

I had my dealer run a nationwide check about a month ago, no new Marauders show up in stock anywhere on the system.

Thanks for the replies, I was just curious. Its funny, there were so many on the lots for so long and now, nada. Of course it would be easy for Ford to make a similar vehicle, all the parts are basically on the shelf and they are going to make the current CV/GM platform for maybe 4 years but maybe we have the last of the line, RWD, V8, man-sized and with a frame underneath. Correct me if Im wrong, but I believe Chrysler 300s/Magnums/Chargers are all unibodies.

Knowing what we know today, we could go buy an '05 GM and build our own...

When the dealers started dumping them for 25K and under, the remaining stocks didn't last long. I did a search in our area and came up with ...0

I saw one on line last week in Alaska with 700 miles...... FORDDIRECT.com I think.

I will be buying on this week.... I have 3 black 03's I'm looking at.... one with 7,000 one with 16,000 one one with 1,500 miles... We will see how it pans out.

Good luck

I totally hear you there friend. I knew everything a prospective buyer should know about the car and the brand. Having 2 Grand Marquis' previously helped. I DID do a lot of research on the web when buying my new car. And quite frankly, I knew more about every Mercury model in the showroom and on the lot than any salesman and sales manager. Mechanics are much more knowledgeable, but the dealership I bought from, had only sold maybe one other Marauder besides mine, so even the mechanics didn't get a good look at them. It just goes to prove that anyone can sell cars. Salesman is useless to me. I hope I didn't offend anybody. I'm sure if there are any salesman on this site though, they're probably very knowledgable. Heck they own a Marauder, don't they? So they have some sense.
