There I said it , the N word, Nitrous.
Please respond only if you have nitrous in your 03-04 MM, I know how great S/C'ing is but nitrous is for me.
I also know there was a group buy the past few months So im hoping you guys will chime in. Now for the Questions.
1. I currently have a sct max micro tuner ( which is to say basically stock), I know I have to tune to nitrous so i want to know how you guys did that.
2. How do you like it so far, what brand, shot, frequency of use?
3.Would you repeat this venture?
And Yes I have read every single thread on Nitrous I could find in the adv. search menu. Thanks.

I stuck the 75 shot jets into the ZEX fogger because according to the manual that will work with factory timing. The manual suggests that 100 shot have 2 degrees removed and for the 125 shot have 4 degrees removed. Since I have the original flash from MV I from DR, I have no clue how the timing is/was set and I'm sure Dennis didn't keep track of that info either... So I'm playing it SAFE.
2. How do you like it so far, what brand, shot, frequency of use?
I like it! It give the car that extra kick! I only wish I'd have ordered the bottle warmer to keep the pressure up is all. 75 Shot on an unknown DR tune. Back then, there were no specs and I'm sure Dennis was guessing as much as anyone was. I would be surprised if I got more than a Tranny Shift Point reprogram and the adjustment for my 4.30 gears.
3.Would you repeat this venture?
Yep! And I've decided to keep it even when moving to the ProCharger S/C later this coming week. I'll probably spend more $$ on getting a shift-point On/off for the spray so that it only comes on out of the hole up to say 4500 rpm and then shut off.
Hope this helps!

I've been running a Ny-Trex Wet system for about a year. Carfixer did the the install for me, and did an excellent job. I've got the SCT 9100 tuner with 3 different tunes from Lidio, Regular performance, 4 degrees, and 6 degrees of retard. My system will run up to 300 hp, not that I would ,without some internals changes. Plugs are Denso's IT-20, and the NGK's . I've ran the 75, 100, and one time with the 125hp pills without any problems. All total about 25 passes. Would I do it all over again, Yes. I'm very happy with the set-up, only major track problem is traction. Hope that answers some of your questions.....

Was that accomplished on standard street radials, or drag radials? Sorry, but if our 'timeslips" page was really what it should be, i wouldn't have to ask such questions like this.
Also, have you had any dyno tests done? I ask that, because I'm wondering if any particualr Nitrous level (ie. "75 shot", "100 shot" etc) neccesarily adds the same amount of HP that it's designation implies. For instance, does a "125 shot" really add 125 HP to the wheels?

Usually the advertised shot is crank horsepower.

Billy, That run was with our standard stock tires, and with the 125 shot. With the 100hp shot it runs all day long around 13.1. Carfixer installed the 4.30's for me, and I haven't run the car yet with that set-up. The 13.05 was with 3.55's , hoping to be in the 12's real soon. I've never had the car on a dyno yet so i don't know about the hp levels..

Bootlegger, I don't know if you know it, but they changed the rules at BMP. If your in the 13's you need a helmet, if your in the 12's you need a roll cage. My buddy Jason, with the black MM, ran a 13.288 and they told him he couldn't run again without a helmet, and if he breaks into 12's he will be tagged and can't run again unless he has a roll cage. I guess they are using NHRA rules for test and tune.

NHRA rules were recently changed to match IHRA rules, a roll cage is required at 11.49, NHRA used to be 11.99
Track rules vary

I've got the helmet, but the last thing i heard at BMP was 12.50 and better we need a cage. The cage thing ain't gonna happen with me, don't want to mess the car up....Thanks for the info..

I'm surprised to hear that since I've run 12.2's and 12.0's all day at two different tracks in NewJersey, and there never was any requirement for me to have a roll cage mentioned. As far as I know it's like FordNut said.
