I have been working with a local jewelry store to design a ring with the MM.net logo. Here are pics of the 14k gold sample that they provided me. There are several options. The ring can be made of 14k gold, 10k gold, or sterling silver. The gold can be white or yellow. The sides can be solid or more delicate with openings (like the sample).
Ladies Ring: 14k gold $450, 10k gold $405, and sterling silver $150
Mens Ring: 14k gold $650, 10k gold $585, and sterling silver $175
Although sterling silver costs less, it is not as strong as gold and could bend.
Personalized engraving on the sides will cost more and more molds to create.
They can also do an antique look. This will darken in the lower areas and leave the raised areas light. Unfortunately I do not have a sample of this look.
I don't know if a group price will be available. I will ask once I see how many members will purchase a ring. Please send me a PM if you would like one.

Thanks for all the compliments!! :2thumbs:
Mrs. Merc and I were talking last weekend about other possibilities. Necklace charm, bracelet charm and earrings. I'll have to talk to the jewelry store about these.

Nice looking rings, but even with 24k gold at $400+/troy oz., they appear to be very pricey. Must be that they are custom and low quantity. Nice find anyway.

I have a little bit of experience in this area and can tell you that once a wax has been carved to make a prototype, making additional rings is quite simple. The cost for a group buy should be considerably lower than the cost of the first one. A ring like this probalby weighs 12 or 13 grams; gold is around $421 per ounce. you do the math.

I'm with you, as I also have a bit of experience in the precious metals market. I believe that there is $400 - $500 markup in the Men's 14k ring.
