I just realized that it's time again for the TMS Charity laps---from 6 PM til 10 PM---come early to avoid long lines---missed coordinating with the Camaro group  --they should be in the marshalling area around 6-6:30--maybe you can run with them--I don't think I can make it---too many things happening this week-end---enter at South Tunnel entrance off Hwy 114---$ 25 = 3 laps around the track---hope someone can represent the group---sorry about the short notice :help: , Maury

how about 80 mph. you might get away with a little more in some spots.

Yeah, you follow a pace car at 80-85 mph, and I wanted to go faster, but it's probably best that they wouldn't let us. It was great fun last year and for a few extra $ you could have a pic taken in victory lane.

I don't think so, there is a car show at Scotties in Haltom City that I was thinking of entering. But you should go, it gives you a whole different perspective on what a NASCAR track is really like.

I just checked the TMS site and it goes from 5 to 10 pm tonight. Looks like the weather will be ok so Im going to head over there around 3:30 or so. Sounds like fun for a $25 donation.

Just got back from TMS. A nice day, I was the second person in line so I went out with the first group. The pace car didnt get over 75 but you could lay back a bit and gas it, I know I didnt reach much over 80 but it was pretty cool. Man those turns are steep, the first time went thru turn 3 we were only going about 50 and it felt like you were going to fall off. When you speed up and come into a turn it looks thru your windshield you are turning left AND UP at the same time. I cant imagine going about 180 with bump drafting! Also got a photo of my car in Victory Lane so all in all, a good time. Maybe next time we can go as a group, it was pretty cool.

Well made it there, started at 6 pm with a beautiful day and a nice run. Shame of it all was that I did not leave 2nd gear!! Tops was about 80, even after I laid back from the rest. I got a picture of Max (the car) and I.
Had a great time, met some nice folks. Had a few comments and inquiries about the Marauder, all postive of course!
