In the 04 MM Sales Brochure under Interior, it says the overhead console has a dome lamp and valet clip, among the compass, etc... but what is this Valet Clip? I must have missed it. Per the brochure, it does not list it as something optional (IE six-disc CD changer, moonroof, etc...)

as per Cruztaker's plates, "WTF IS IT?"

Two guesses :

1) - Text left over from the 03 sales catalog(never updated/removed), as the 03's had longer style overhead consoles.

2) - Perhaps they are refering to the lil' flap/pocket on the drivers sunvisor ... that you can stick ticket stubs in.

It's one of those things that's "there", but in reality it really isn't. Kind of like "real horsepower" in the ricers car you just whomped on ;) LOL

When I picked up my MM, I received a grey colored Valet Key without the key fob. Maybe the clip/visor pocket is the place that this key is intended to be stored. :dunno:

I beleive they are referring to the slot to put your parking card in that is near the overhead center dome light.

It's where I put mine and it works perfectly.

Is that the slot on the visor? I too have the Valet key...
