I've never had a K&N before. It came with the car so I have no instructions. How do you clean and oil the filter? Where do you buy the oil? Any techniques and tips are appreciated.

They have "service kits" available at your local auto parts store . I just bought one at Canadian Tire (our version of NAPA/ Walmart )

This way you are certain is not over oiled and you won't screw-up your MAF sensor.

I think I'll try to find the service kit first. :)

I do the same as Smokie. Another idea, buy a K&N for racing, and run the stock type filter around town.

I'm not worried about getting too much oil on the filter since I clean my MAF all the time with a good electronics parts cleaner. I just don't want to damage the filter with the wrong solvent or anything.

I used to clean my Bong in the dishwasher until I forgot to remove it and my Mom found it!
Oh the things we used to do when we were young!
