How do you post pictures to your profile?

I have tried resizing the image I want on it but noting seems to work. Can someone help me out.

For a computer upload: Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 250 by 250 pixels or 244.1 KB (whichever is smaller).

What did the size end up being once you reduced it?

I have my images hosted on www.photobucket.com and it is free.

All you need to do is insert the photo in this format:
the photo's address
Photobucket will even give you the full ubb code and you copy and paste it here. :)
