I hate to ask the question as I think I know the answer. Living under the all-intrusive government banner of California, it's my great fear that not all MMs are legal for operation in the state. I base that on the fact that I know it's a window sticker option, albeit a no cost one, on the car. Can anyone tell me if there is a CARB or California emissions legal sticker in the engine bay?
I have not been able to find a decent deal in the Golden Rip-off State but have found some great deals elsewhere. Thanks for your help.:help:

I live in MA, and my window sticker says "California Emissions System", because MA (and a number of other states, I forget which) basically copied the CA regs, so if it's legal in CA, it's legal in MA...I think there's just a generic emissions sticker under the hood, I don't remember seeing CARB on anything...I'll try and find which other states have reciprocal regs with CA...

Just as an end to this topic, I found this information on the California DMV home page:
"To find out whether a car or truck is California certified, check the emission control label under the hood in the engine compartment. If the vehicle is "California certified," this label will state that the vehicle con-forms to California regulations or that it is legal for sale in California. If a vehicle is "federally certified," the label will state that the vehicle conforms to U.S. EPA regulations, but no mention will be made of meeting California requirements."
Looks like a dealer in Tenn. is going to be happy.
