I have been putting off my wiring of my AF guage and Trans temp for long enough so I went down and just dove into it. Basically I have read too many posts for too long and am no longer sure I can tell my ass from a hole in the ground. I tried the AF on the black/red and violent/green that were suggested to me in some threads a month ago. These wires were located in the bottom door sill under the carpet. i sliced open the tape to get to all those wires. Neither one worked.
where physically is this god damn wire!!!!!!
Second I jack the car up , put it on stands and started looking for the EASY TO FIND service port ( I KNOW THE MANIFOLD IS BETTER) which is not anywhere to be found. Im actuallly starting to think I have the wrong type of trans temp sensor. Its a black capilary tube with a small blue and large red ring around the temp sensing end. Way to big for any of the holes down there. The only good news is i finally went out and bought a drill and got the hole in the firewall. Can anyone give me clear directions on how to proceed.
give me a :rasta:

Try the Calm/green wire... :D
Actually, I also was looking for the place to tap into the tranny that Logan mentioned in a post and I could not find it on the drivers side of the tranny either. I'm waiting till I get someone that can tap into the line from the tranny to the cooler up front to mount my temp sensor.
Not much help, but maybe it will let you smile and take a deep breath before hitting it again.

Yes, I had some lemonade and calmed down. Also, Defyant PM'd me with the location and said it is near the front, drivers side , and a bolt attached to nothing. :bows: Thanks Defyant

I got the manifold kit from Autometer to install the tranny temp gauge. I might move it to the pan once I get a deeper pan. Do tell, where / what wire did you use for the A/F gauge?

I looked at the PCM side of the connector and I did indeed see a violet/purple wire. The tape of wires lead to the drivers side soor sill I believe. I pulled up the carpet and sliced open the tape ( no i didnt cut any) I did find the green and violet one. I used a quick slide connecter on it and still doesnt work. My green light is on as it was when only the power was connected but no moving lights. Could it be my ground? im currently piggy backing a ground.

I can't help you with the O2 indicator.
Is your trans temp ind. an electric indicator or mechanical?
With the solid hook up you discribed it sounds like a mechanical gauge.
That will require a hole in the pan to hook that one up.
The electric sender will fit in the plugged hole Logan called out.
