Has anyone checked out the new Auto Meter D-PIC? I just bought one from Jegs, 189.99. It does not mount to the window. I will have to wait and see

Check it out at: http://www.autometer.com/cat_gauge_dpic.aspx
Available in
Cobalt:http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?ref=searc h&gid=3284
or
Ultralite: http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?ref=searc h&gid=3293
Looks like the Ultralite one will be filling up spot number 3 in my pillar pod. :banana2:

I've been waiting a month, too. They've been delayed twice for some reason.

Donny, when you get yours would you please see if it will fit inside of one of the center console cup holders?

Jegs has them in stock. Just reiceved yesterday. 3 wires, (12 volts, ground, dimmer) It will fit the pod 2 1/16" Any idea on where to put it? I moved the cig. lighter to add a third. (real oil psi. water temp, volts) In the piller I have vac/boost, trans temp. Just reading the instructions, this thing should be really slick. How accurate? That may be another story. Another thing you will need is a long stretch of road.

Well, frack, I just checked with my source and shipping has been pushed back another week. I notice that on Summit Racing's website, the Cobalt style is in stock, but the Ultra Lite model is not shipping until May 28.
So for now, mine ships May 23. It originally was to ship April 15.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, since my install date is in June. But I will be annoyed if June arrives and still no gauge.
After thinking it over and looking at options, my choice is to put it in the topmost A pillar pod in a new three pod A pillar. This looks like the best location for ease of reach of the control buttons and you can glance at it without a serious distraction from the road like if it were down below eyeline.
My second choice was to have a carbon fiber gauge cup installed on a pedestal mount, on top of the dash, near the A pillar.
