Went to Naples yesterday to look at an 03 Mustang Mach 1 that my daughter put a deposit on. On the way back to Cape Coral a red Z06 goes flying by me nailing it. We come up to a light and a yellow Z06 pulls up to the red one and myself. We all take off kinda normal and the two Z06's are playing with each other, jumping on it, braking etc. The three of us then turn west and then get on US 41. When we all come up to the next light, the road widened out to three wide lanes. Next light was about 1/8 mile ahead. I knew what was going to happen. :coolman: And it did.
I am in the middle, the yellow Z06 is on my left and the red Z06 to my right. I shut off the traction control, push the O/D button, the light goes green and we all nail it big time. The yellow Z06 smoked me out of the hole, I was smoking my tires bad (the new Stallion works) as was the red Z06 smoking his tires. Once I hooked up I was gone. I caught up with the yellow Z06 by a car length. Totally smoked the red Z06. We hit about 80 before the next light. The guy in the yellow Z06, says "man I have BF Goodrich drag radials on this car, I cannot believe how fast your car is. I couldn't see you in my mirror." Must be supercharged, I smiled and said yeah. I give him the thumbs up, he returns the thumbs up and the red Z06 wouldn't even look at me when I gave him a thumbs up. (Sour ****) They both turned and I continued home. My daughter says, that was wicked cool Dad...I just smile.:) Yeah baby:D

Y'gotta love it! Great story.
I'm getting soooo psyched for the Woodward Ave. cruise, and my ride with bigSlim and Keith, who, last night, on chat, said I could drive.:drive:
He claims worse drivers than me have been behind the wheel; and besides, his car's been blessed.
Just wait until 'ol Charlie reads this one!
Awsome, just awsome! Like I've said before, my poor 77 'vette just sits with a for sale sign on. I'm sure it would pound my Marauder, but it just isn't anywhere near as fun to drive and play around it.

I have been a motor head all my life. But this was the first time I ever got into a situation like last night. No traffic, wide open road and a Z06 vette on both sides of you. There is no way that I could resist. Impossible. The car begged me, the boost egged me, the Stallion wanted to show it's stuff and I really wanted a piece of those vettes. Even though I only got one of them and nearly got the other one, it was really cool. What an adrenalin rush. There is no doubt that both of those guys will remember that event and most of all, have some serious respect for a Marauder the next time one pulls next to them.

Sounds like you handled yourself in a controlled way. I just hate to see people showing off so much they risk a lot of things - including other people's lives. :nono:
But it looks like it went down well, and you had fun! SWEET! :D

That makes me cry and grit my teeth so bad to get myself a supercharger.
I plan on getting one soon as I slip and fall in Kroger tomorrow!

I already thought about it but they have several cameras everywhere.

When I order chilli I usually have to crimp my nose, not bit my finger. Althought that lady who ordered chilli from Wendy's - she took your advice ;)

Mike, no joke, I have no problem tossing anyone the keys, you'll have a blast. I seldom get a chance to sit in the passenger's seat. Just have a clean set of drawers to change into after you push the go pedal.
Dennis Reinhart built it bullet proof and then drove it 12.3 and change in the 1/4 mile back in the summer of 03 in Gainesville.
Deanna gave it the police academy evasive driving test on the roof of the Petersen Auto Museum a few weeks ago. Both performances were amazing.
J Biddle (JBA) shocked himself on a test drive. An off-duty San Diego Police Officer got a real surprise in a short jaunt across a parking lot, and didn't want to take their turn behind the wheel. A few others have said they couldn't drive it without losing their license.
Sorry about digressing, now back to the regularly scheduled thread.
Would have loved to seen the two Z 06 drivers after they got supercharged by one of our own MMs. -kjs-

My friend took my for a ride in his turbocharged car, does like 13.2 in the QM. You know the feeling you get when you're falling - like in your stomach? Well I get that feeling in his car - except all over.
Can't imagine what it's going to be like next week.
If you get a chance to drive a supercharged Marauder - take it! :)
