The unevitable happened. Last night my wife got into an accident. Front end of the Marauder is pretty much gone. Needs pass. headlight, side maker, new grilll, GOR, bumper cover, all braketry behind bumper, AC condenser and to top it all off the motor is now running hotter than normal.

Enjoy:

man o man - I am grieving for you. PM me your physical address; you get damage like that..... you deserve a free Marauder Pen to make the pain a little less unbearable.

by the way, my guess for the damage is $4,322.66

ironic.... it's our wives that usually get into accidents with the car.

That is a shame. At least your wife is ok & it is only cosmetic.

OOOwwww that HURTS!! Question is, what happened to the other guy? My experience is that usually the Panther wins the fight unless you nail a 1965 Lincoln Continental or larger.

Amen to what Brian said about your wife be ok.....Now I hope you don't have to wait for parts too long. My dealer just had to order a new shock for me and doesn't have a clue when they'll get it in.

My condolences on your loss. :( Those photos were heart breaking. :bigcry: Looks like she ran up under a pick-up truck or something. Hope she is OK.

BTW ... my estimate is $5,216.89.

Glad to hear the wife is OK. My wife had an accident with my MM also. A plastic bucket flew out of the back of a pickup caught the MM in the left front. Had to get the bumper repainted and a new cornering light. Fortunately no one was hurt. Just got it back after 3 days in the body shop (they removed the bumper to paint it). Now I have to wait 60 days to get the replacement clear bra installed.

Thanks for the condolences so far. My wife is fine, shook up real good but otherwise fine.

Now as for what she hit..... a Dodge Neon. Yeap that's right a Neon. She was asking how and I told her that a Neon's bumper sits a little higher than what our bumper does. So that when she hit the brakes the nose on the Marauder dove a voila you have the damage that we have. Here's the fun part nothing really bad happened to the Neon, we took the brunt.

My condolences.

That looks all too familiar.

Unfortunately, I can only blame myself.

Fortunately, it wasn't my Marauder.

Hood, headlight, Grille, fog-light, filler panel, fog light "bucket" fix hood crease (damn! just got the corner) total - 1800.

My guess for the MM: 4750

Hard to tell from the photos but it doesn't look like any major structural damage, fortunately. Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad everybody is ok, though.

Great to see your wife is ok. Good thing it's not black or the whole front would be gone like mine was:depress: . Your not too bad off. Under 10,000 is all I can say.

Sorry about the accident, glad to hear your wife was not injured. IMO it looks worse than it is. With the grill and header panal missing it looks bad. The bumper alone is $1,200 and your ins. company is probably looking at about 4K IMO.

Depressing, but looks repairable. Important thing, the Mrs is OK.

 yeah I noticed that too.

As for the damage est. collison shop says 2k-2500. I'm thinkin more like 3500. We'll see.

The Merc went into the shop today for surgery. Had to do it now because the rad must of pushed back just enough to hit the fan and it now won't run. If I kept running the car and something would've happened to the motor I would've been SOL and I don't have 6K laying around to replace it. If I di I sure as in the hell would be calling Jerry up. I also wish I had the extra cash I was gonna have some very faint ghost flames added in but I'll just be happy to get it back.

Sorry to hear this. I have been in one close call and only the great brakes on the car saved me. I have never stopped in so short a distance in my life. I can only imagine what the KVR brakes must be like if the OEM brakes are that good.

I hope you get the engine overheat problem fixed; guess the radiator got banged, and that you get it back good as new without a lot of hassle. Also glad everyone is OK!

Best of luck to you.

Condolences my DTR Brother. Mine suffered $3,500.00 damage beginning of this year. She'll be back as good as new!
Remember, the Mrs. is OK, that is the most important.

Keep us posted.

Well went to check on the Merc. Parts are being ordered and the front end is already stripped of the carnage.

Now for the unsettling news, the collision shop confirmed my suspicion I've had since the day I bought the car, it was wrecked before. The pass brace, bumper cover and a bracket were replaced in a previous wreck. It was all superficial but the point none-the-less was that it was wrecked. Don't know if the dealer knew before I bought it or what but man am I :mad2:. Either way I'm still keeping the car and going to enjoy every single minute in it. :burnout:

The damages came in at 3862.xx, about what I expected. The shop also fixed damage done by the prior accident. Just waiting on a body moulding and the AC filled and I get her back again, so I should be getting her back by mid-week.

Oh one other thing... the wife is being alittle more receptive to a S/C. :D
