How would one go about getting a copy of or a remake of the Window Sticker of our cars ? That is, if your not sure where it was purchased first.

You have to get an oasis report on the vehicle and contact the SELLING dealership for a copy.
(NEW SALES, not used sales.)
If they charge you, its only about $8 plus postage...
Then you'll get an exact duplicate of the original window sticker
printed FRESH and still on the backing paper.
It doesn't matter who the original ordering dealership was.
The SELLING dealership gets the ownership of the vehicle prior to the first owner
and the VIN is transferred to the SELLING dealership's inventory.
The Windows sticker will print with the selling Dealer's address
on the bottom of the sticker.
I had one printed for my Marauder.
My salesmen gave it to me for free.
I just have to find a suitable frame for it now... :D

Is the build date on the window sticker?

The date on the sticker is about a week or 2 earlier than the true build date.

Just to let "yunz" know, I might be able to get your original selling dealer by running your VIN. Certain perameters can limit this (extended warranties, former Ford vehicles, etc). I cannot get the stickers for you. If interested, PM me. I only ask you to be patient. I won't be back to work until 5/31.

I took my original sticker and had it laminated. I display it at car shows.
I could never find out where my MM was originally sold. I even called Mercury and the reply was "we can only release that information to the original buyer". Wouldn't he know where he bought the car? Stupid rules!!

Send a PM to RoyLPita and he may be able to look up the Selling Dealer.
You would have to contact the selling dealer
and then ask them for a reprint of the window sticker.
Hopefully the selling dealer is close to you, so you can
actually bring the Marauder to them, and show any documentation
they may ask for before they reprint the sticker for you.
If they give you any problems, you can always call Ford Customer Service
and tell them that they aren't cooperating with you.
PM sent. Any information that I can obtain will be more than I got from the Mercury assistance representative!
This information may help others that have all of their particular information, selling dealership, etc. I found a guy on e-bay that will make custom window stickers when supplied with options, etc. This is part of the reply he sent me:
The sticker on auction is generic, but we do custom window stickers! You supply the VIN, color, options and dealer information, and we will make a sticker to match your car. Window stickers cost $10 plus $4 priority shipping. You get 2 copies. We can laminate or frame your sticker for a small additional price. Check out the "Laminating and More" tab at our ebay store for details.
I have the contact information if interested. Just PM me and I will forward it. I don't know anything about this guy, and have not had the opportunity to order his product because I don't have all the info. for my car.

Any updates on locating a private party (non-Ford) that can reproduce window stickers?
