Dang! Wish I knew in advance, I would've gone for sure! St. Thomas doesn't have the best prep, but it's usually pretty quiet, so you can get a bunch of runs in.

Maybe we can get a few Marauder together for a trip to the track, soon.:burnout:

Lookinf forward to seeing your results...

I'll be there unless our new baby (due date June 8) decides to be like his older brother and arrive 2 weeks early.

Is a helmet required at Sparta?

You won't need a helmet, unless you're in the 13's... Are you going in the day time (10-4), evening (6-10), or both?

I may show up, still undecided. I have some running around to do before a big AutoX Sunday, so I'll see, but having a few Marauders there would be cool.

Results: I am Car 165
Run 3 - loose shocks, hot motor, brake torque off the light.

Run 8 - my small (250mm wide) BBS wheels on the back, stock on front

Run 9 - half mix of 104 octane + Reinhart race tune + all four BBS wheels (285 rear weighing 48lbs each and 250mm front weighing 42lb each) Still cannot believe the MPH after only a 20min break with ice on intake.

Run 10 - Back up run for previous

I spun at every launch, with every tire I tried. The starting line was crap.
I will post some video footage soon.

107 MPH on a 14.3 run....:dunno: I run 14.4 at about 98 MPH. maybe the weight difference, my 255's on stock wheels weigh a lot more than 45 lbs. Almost seems like a nitrous run, I have good friends that run nitrous between 12.6 and 13, They have trap speeds similar to yours. Congratulations.:D

The only thing I can think of is that the car in the next lane blew some debris across my timing lights. He has a trap of 108, and if you look at my 1/8mile traps, he was going 6mph faster. How could I all of the sudden make up that deficit after half track? It doesn't make sense.

Just a quick hi-jack.

Now back to the topic at hand :)

The rule of thumb that works for my car is: add 20-21 mph to my 1/8 mile speed and I have my trap speed. That would put your trap speed on that run at about 100 mph, whick I believe would be more consistent with your ET.

On the other hand, you have a timeslip ( so you are legit ;) )
Post it on the timeslip page, that is one kick-ass trap speed, right up there with the big boys.:D

Smokie your rule of thumb works for my first two runs, +~21mph

Then on run three its +22.9mph with the brake torque & stock wheels
Run 10 was +25.81mph with race gas and light wheels.
Run 12 +23.44mph

this is ignoring the 107mph slip, it appears my car has a hell of a second wind in third gear.

Wes,

Low 14s are some nice numbers. May I ask what mods you've done to your car besides the SCT and tires? I'm dying to hit the local track here, but I haven't had the time yet.

TIA.

Sully008 that was with Kooks headers, 4.10s, densos, K&N drop in and a reinhart race gas tune.I went back today and got a bunch of 14.4s best mph was 102.49 with the stock tires & wheels on.

Who all went? I've been the lucky recipient of "mild" food poisoning, and have been stuck at home for the last two days... Didn't even want to get out of bed yesterday, and felt it would be a bad move to go out, today...

Wesman, did you ever run it stock? I know you were around 14.7, with just gears and tune.

Now back to the topic at hand :)That's a nice place. It's right downtown and is very close to a number of the city's nicer attractions. There's also a bunch of bars / restaurants on the same street, very close to you.

BTW - I work less than a 10-minute walk away from there.

There's better times to play than when you're ill, we'll catch you next time. CanadaSVT and I did a side by side, there is a tape of it somewhere! We drove through a monsoon on the way home and there was snow on the 401 in Ingersoll!!!!

Had a great time. Best time was 15.2 bone stock except for the slip-in K&N air filter. I have the tape of Wesman side by side with me. I had him at the lights, but by 60ft he was gone. Can certainly here Wesman's Kooks doing their job on the tape!
I just need to figure out how to get tape from camera to pc:lol:
