Uploaded a bunch of pics. All start with MM_
Was not happy with OEM audio.
1. Only simple base and treble controls.
2. Ford dealer told me it was my music choice that caused a sub rattle even when volume was at default setting.
The pics of the old system pieces show the sub in place and free standing. With the foam insert off to the side. The CD unit is not Alpine. The pic of the unmounted head shows the connectors. Not the same as the CV.
My new system is a Pioneer DEH-P6500 head (single CD, removable face, 50x4 watts), a DEQ-7600 DSP audio processor and a Pioneer 6 CD changer. Replaced the OEM sub with a 150x2 watt Kicker amp and a custom enclosure holding a 10" Kicker woofer.
Now the system kicks butt. With no system rattle. May have to add some Dynamat pads to the trunk lid.
Sound guy says rear deck speakers are OK. As are the door units. But he thinks I may be happier with some Focal 2-way door units. I think he is right.
He forgot to install the unit that allows the new system to be controlled by the steering wheel buttons. Will get that done this Friday. Along with the door units and the Dynamat pads.
