I just got home from work and as I park the car I get a feeling that tells me to visit the bathroom when I get inside. So, as I'm about to get out of the MM I decide to grab the booklet from the glove box to have something to read. I don't think I've cracked this book open except to set the garage door and keypad the day I bought it.
Anyway, I'm sitting there in the bathroom looking through the book and I notice all this paperwork crammed behind the warranty and quick reference booklet. Lord and behold its ALL the paperwork from the original purchaser. Trade in papers, loan information, sales sheet, I mean everything you get when you buy the car new...even had the window sticker! :banana2:
I knew the guy was using the car for company purposes because of the high miles, turns out he financed it through his job at Lockheed. I have his phone number, address, and maybe more if I looked harder.
He traded in his Tahoe on it, payed $8k down, and had 48 payments at $148. Total price was $32k in February 03.
These original papers and stuff will help down the road when the cars a collectors item right? I watch the auctions on tv and they mention having all original purchase receipts and stuff.
