Here's the scenario....
I stopped to get gas at a self- serve Chevron ( 92 Octane of course) near the freeway on a sensationally sunny day.
I had spent the better part of my " lunch Hour " giving my MM the
quick one -two with instant detailer and my California duster.
I'm at the pump and just beginning to fill the tank when I hear the exhaust note of a car making some serious horse power ...
I glance up and what do you think pulls in right along side of me ?
Ah , yes ... a Ferrari Maranello coupe .
It's obviously brand new and with it's deep Sapphire paint , it looks spectacular in the sun .
I continue admiring this fine piece of automotive engineering while the
driver/owner talks on his cell phone and tries not to get his Mr. T starter-set gold chain display tangled with the hose from the pump.
I finish fueling the MM.
As soon as I walk in to the station to purchase a cold beverage ,the two guys working there proceed to ask me every conceivable question about the MM .
How many were made ?
Does it have the Mustang Cobra engine ?
What size are the wheels?
You get the picture ....
Now remember , that all during this discussion the Ferrari is no more than 25 feet from these guys .
The MM is actually farther away.
They don't even mention the Ferrari .
Amazing ...
