Hello all,
After a relaxing week in Minneapolis, the girlfriend and I are home safely. We spent time at Mall of America, Valleyfair, and the Walker outdoor sculpture garden. Lucky for us, the days we went to Valleyfair and the Walker, it was sunny and warm. Saw one other black MM in Fargo, ND. Plates were "309". Looked over, but the driver didn't look back. Oh well.
I have to say, the MM is probably one of the best long distance runners I've ever driven. It cruised along at 80 mph without breaking a sweat. I haven't calculated the mpg yet, but it'll be interesting to see. The GF enjoyed watching movies on the DVD player, I was happy driving the MM :D.
I might need to do a little sound deadening material for the interior. Road noise (not engine or exhaust, I love those two sounds :D ) was a little too loud for my liking.
The factory BFG KDWS tires were great in the wet. The highways were mostly wet, and last night driving home it was raining all the way with standing water in some places, and I had complete confidence in the rain @ 80 mph.
The one and only time I was a little disappointed with the car was on the way home. We were stuck in long weekend traffic and behind me was a new V6 Stang. As soon as an opening in traffic popped up, I dropped it out of OD and hammered it. I was suprised to see that the Stang kept up with me.:depress: I was pulling away, but very, very slowly. This was from 60 mph. Guess I'm going to do the 4.10s next, and maybe a new T/C.
