It became a reality last night at about 2:00 AM.....Carfixer turned the ignition key and my Trilogy S/C roared to life and settled into a flawless smooth idle.

I am still pretty tired, have not been home long, but I wanted to take the time to thank the people that helped to make this dream come true. Jerry Barnes who made sure that the entire kit reached Carfixer in time for a scheduled install that started on Friday the 27th.

Carfixer who did such a fantastic job on the install and made a hard and complex job look always under control, Tallboy who is a good friend and worked his ass off helping in a real meaningfull way; I thought I would help and because I could not anticipate what was coming next I was mostly trying to get out of the way than actually providing any signicant help.

My good friend Bootlegger drove a long way to share the install with me and I thank him for being there, KingFubar also joined the install party and gave me ride in his hot rod Torino to the hardware store to buy the only item we needed to complete the install...a 1/2" ferrule that joins the egr tube adaptor of my custom exhaust system....thanks for the wild an woolly ride Mike.

The decision to purchase a Trilogy Kit was made by my wife and I last year after Jerry took us for a ride in his car last year....the finaces just needed to fall into place that's all.
This choice was made based on the looks of the kit, I really enjoy the OEM look and the how subtle the change is from a stock vehicle...I like the fact that a passenger will not know unless I want him to know.

Carfixer, Tallboy and myself took it for a test drive late last evening and it performed exactly as expected, this morning Carfixer and myself used the same G-Tech meter he used a year ago to record a 7.1 second 0-60 on my car..he recorded 2 separate 5.4 sec runs, temperature was about 92* and humidity about 90%. My new KDW2's tried their best to grip and plant the power to the pavement and....failed !!!

Anyway I need some wheel time to fully evaluate the new kit and I will post more when I know more.

Wow Javier, that's great!!!! You must be on cloud 9. Congratulations!!!:banana2: If you're ever concerned with 0-60MPH times on the street, you'll get into the 4 second range with the addition of drag radials no problem at all. I look forward to your futureposts about your new found power. When ever I read such posts from other members who've supercharged their Marauders, it reminds me so much of my supercharged experience. :D

that must have been so cool to have two or three other Marauder owners there during your supercharger installation. Especially guys Like Claude and Chuck. good people in deed!!! I was pretty much alone when I installed my supercharger. :( but the end results were still the same of course.:) :burnout:

Congratulations [again], Smokie! Thanks for letting me be a small part of it all. It was an honor.:bows:

What a great night! Carfixer, Smokie, and I met at Carfixer's house around 5:45 Friday afternoon. Carfixer already had the kit unpacked and ready to go. I knew this was going to be a special night. Then, it got even better when King Fubar [thanks again for letting me drive the Torino, Mike!-freakin' thing flies!] and Bootlegger showed up. 5 of us hanging out in the garage having a great time. A few pizza's and some cold beer were the only down-time, but it was great just hanging out with my friends.:)

The install was complete around two o'clock this morning. We were all beat but running on pure adrenalin. Needless to say, Smokie's car hauls a$$! There are going to be some crushed egos the next time he goes to the track.

I left Carfixer's at 2:45 and got back to my house at 4:00 AM. I hit the pillow dead tired, but feeling like the luckiest guy in the world.

Billy. Thanks I do apreciate the best wishes, I am very happy. The 2 1/2 hour drive home was a pleasure, the car's agility and ability to close a gap...are amazing.

Tallboy. I am very glad you arrived home safely and again THANK YOU.:bows:

LOL....yeah, I know exactly what you mean. That was one of the very first things I noticed about it. From that very first day of driving after the S/Cer completion I noticed that there were a lot less areas that I could open up the throttle completely. You simply need more room to do that safely!!! It's really fun, but at the same time a sobering experience. Talk about an adrenaline rush? That was the first time that I drove such a big heavy vehicle, and thought to myself...."This thing could kill me if I don't watch it."

Sounds like everyone had a great time. One day! Hey Mike, Are you sure you want to convert back to a carb on the Torino? I just thought you take it D/R and get the tune finished. I think reading this was the first time I missed the Torino but at the same time I'm glad it's gone somewhere to be enjoyed more. Thanks again Mike for the updated pics.

Thanks guys, just got back from a little drive with the wife, we stopped at a deserted paved blacktop....she is driving, I said "ok, nail it"...she did, we made a lot of noise, moved forward not too fast...speedo is climbing very fast, we start drifting sideways...I said "Honey can you let up just a little"

She is grinning from ear to ear and says to me "I gotta take him to the track":D

:banana2: Congratulations on turning your car into the true musclecar it was meant to be. I'm glad to see you both made the obvious choice in supercharger selection. Welcome to the ever growing Trilogy family. :hug2:
Btw, I have run a 4.85 0-60 on Nitto DR's and the temp. and humidity where a lot lower than what you attemped it in. So you can expect these numbers in the same conditions.

Thanks for the kind words Brad. The 300 hp on a budget was fun and I got close...about 290 hp, the best part is that the money spent went to enhance the S/C.....tuner, complete exhaust, airbox all complement the Trilogy Kit. The U/D's were the only purchase that does not fit the new package and I already found a good home for them with a fellow owner.:D

P.S. Mayra does share my love for the car, I am a very lucky guy.
