That happens to be the same weekend as the SVT show at Chuck's in Grapevine which is near Arlington. I'm sure the CV's & MM's would be welcome and there is an MM class at the show that could probably be expanded to include the CV's. The SVT Club is a friendly group. Registration from 5 to 7, show is over usually by 8:30.

The bad news is that the show is the same time as the ball game, but maybe some would rather enter a car show.

see www.svttexas.com for details about the show.

Hey y'all!

I hope some of you guys will make it to the Dallas meet. The guys in Houston specifically picked Dallas as the place to meet because we figured it would allow more people to attend by being the most convenient location for the greatest number of Panther owners.

Too bad that other show is going on at the same time as the game. That would've been fun!

We're going to meet at one of the Dickey's BBQ locations for lunch. I know there's one near the ballpark, but I think it would be better if we picked another location in the DFW area. Anyone have any recommendations?

Okay, I spoke with the Texas Rangers ticket office. They are going to give us a great price on group tickets! We'll be sitting on the lower level next to the left or right fielder. These tickets normally sell for $27.50 each, but they're going to sell them to us for less than half price at $13.50 each. I chose the best tickets I could get at the lowest price in order to make it more affordable for everyone.

I am going to PM everyone who has said they want to come. I am asking that you PayPal me ASAP so I can buy the tickets and get our seats locked in. I would appreciate it if everyone could send me $15.00 per ticket. The extra $1.50 will help defray PayPal expenses and the one-time ticket fee I have to pay when I buy the tickets.

I will need payment no later than June 24, 2005 at midnight if you want to guarantee a seat with the rest of the group!

My PayPal address is:

Hi, I'm kinda the official activities guy for the Marauders , I talked to Rod and am very enthused with your plans. The meet is a fun event---about 100 cars, participant judging and a bunch of great folks---everyone just loves cars. We have our own judging category---average 8-12 Marauders each month. The meet is sanctioned by the SVT Club and they really appreciate any participation. If you can give me some tentative info, I will contact them and see what we can do for you. Since this will be a one-time thing for you, I don't think we can set up a judging class, but they do have a "Special Recognition" they do---I'll see what I can do. We have our own designated parking area for 15 cars--will see if i can get you right across from us--just let me know how many to plan for. The early-birds start arriving around 4:30--full swing by 5---$10 registration til 7 PM--Ballots and judging at 8--awards at 8:30. Some nice door prizes and generally , a chance to visit and look. Looking forward to meeting you folks--PM me or e-mail Cruzermm@aol.com.
See you soon, Maury

Actually, we decided to skip the Rangers game and meet up with y'all at Chuck's in Grapevine instead.

After that, it's every man (or woman) for himself (or herself). :)

I'm not sure how many of us would be interested in putting our cars in a judging class at the car show. I'd have to check with the other guys to see. Most of our cars are nowhere near as nice as those fancy Marauders and SVTs. ;)

One mans opinion;

I have never felt that's the reason we all gather at Chuck's. We just
like to see everybody and look at their iron. We do have some folks here
with "show class" cars but many of us couldn't care less about the judging.
We have even been known not to put our class and number card on the
window. Truthfully if it was only for the show, I would probably park outside the area.

It's just kind of neat to see a bunch of Marauders all in a row.
Having a row of Vic's would make it just that much better.

Yeah, before you ask-Rumble's being straight up for real. :trophy1:

If y'all show, I'll gladly leave my number off the window (I've "won" the last couple of times). We dig Panthers and people who dig Panthers. The SVT folks who host this show are very cool people and will welcome you with open arms. If nothing else, you'll get a chance to meet "Ol' Man Marauder"- a walking, talking icon of information and stories about these wonderful cars. Please stop by...

We'll definitely be there in Grapevine!!! No question about it.

So far, we have about 20-something folks on the list of attendees.

Will anyone from here be joining us at Dickey's BBQ in Irving for lunch? If so, please let me know so I can add you to the list on www.crownvic.net (http://www.crownvic.net). :)

Lunch will be from roughly 1pm-3pm.

GREAT !!! I'll contact the SVT group tomorrow morning and make arrangements for your group--All of us are looking forward to meeting you folks ---if I can be of any help--let me know. The weather looks good---and hot---so I hope all that plan to attend can make it. I , personally, will not be able to make the Lunch--previous family commitments, but I will be at Chuck's early to greet you. Keep the Panthers Roaring, Maury

Bare minimum, I expect at least ten Panthers at Chuck's in Grapevine - perhaps we'll have 15 or 20.

I look forward to seeing y'all there. My wife and I will be there in my tan 1995 CVLX.

We might not have the*bling-bling* Panthers, but there will definitely be some nice cars in the crowd. And like you said, it's all about the Panther platform :)

I'm planning on going to Dickey's. I should be able to either convoy with them or give them directions. One of their post's mentions they are looking for a good spot for a group picture. I thought maybe Grapevine lake. Also there is someplace in Las Colinas with fountains I have seen in photos but I have no idea where it is or how to get there.

That area around the Grapevine Lake Dam is pretty cool. The galloping Mustangs (I'm assuming those are the fountains) are in Las Colinas in front of the canals off 114. Either would be good sites. Of course if it were me, I'd just pick a couple of cars and get everybody around them and shoot. We could do it for them at Chuck's.

maybe a little too long but I didn't want to leave anything out:

So, I'm headed North on I-35 to Chuck's and see a sweet Marauder in the middle lane with a MM.net decal in the back window. Hmmmmm, he's not local- I know all those cars pretty well...I pull along side and think to myself- that guy looks familiar... It's Lance and he's heading to Chuck's for the Panther party. I had to make a side trip to pick up the plates for Coli's new ricer and wash the Marauder. As I finish washing the car- I pull out on 26 and fall in line behind Maury and Lance- very cool mini-caravan into the Chuck's parking lot.
It was a great evening highlighted by the Houston CVs entrance- Chris showing up in his loaner GM (which he entered in the Crown vic class)- Brian and James both dipping and me not feeling the urge to indulge in my recently abandoned habit- Maury's Marauder history/statistics lesson for our guests:sleepy: :sleepy: - Just yankin' your chain, Pops!
The Vic guys (and gal) were awesome folks and I hope they make it out again. It's all about four doors and fun, Troops- I think we had that.:D
