Well...finally got my pictures uploaded. Heather and I visited the motor city a few weeks back for a night away from home, some more mods and dyno work, some great steak, and some ice cream! On the way home...we stopped off at Cedar Point for the 3rd time this year. What a trip!

Anyway...while I was up at Alternative Auto getting my tune beefed up...I decided to throw in the K&N Cold Ait intake kit. Ever since the kit came out, I wanted it, more so for the way it looked and fit than anything else.

A month before this visit I went in for a few dyno pulls, without the K&N. My average numbers worked out to be 269.x RWHP, and 294.x RWTQ. The pull was done at 9am at 64 degrees.

When I had the K&N installed, it was right after a 3 hour drive from Cleveland, the outside temp was 81 degrees, and the motor hot. I did three pulls with an average of 276.x RWHP and 300.x RWTQ. Lidio adjusted my A/F accordingly, and we were good to go! We then did a 20 min. cool down, started it up, let it get to operating temp, and at 81 degrees the car pulled a 285.xRWHP and 311.x RWTQ. Keep in mind, this was on my 100 octane tune with only the chip, 4.10's, K&N, and weld in mufflers/tips. Not too shabby for the modest mods.

IMO, there's a definite improvement in seat of the pants feeling, and after having a stock air box on there for an entire year, opening it up with that huge conical filter really makes the motor growl! WOT certianly turns heads with it's beefy, deeper growling sound! I love it.

If anyone wants one, I'm sure Lidio has a few left.

Yet another nice job by the crew at Alternative Auto.

Cool Matt. This will have to hold you until the Trilogy.

I'm sure I'll try to spring for more in the meantime. I'll just have to wait a few months...more important things are ahead.

:D

Thanks Mike, great to see you all as well. As far as the track goes...I haven't been to Norwalk yet. I always seem to run at least 2 tenths faster there than at the other track we go to. It's all about the track prep. Maybe next week, I'm looking forward to it.
