I figured out why the LEO like me

I have been lucky and not been harrassed about my tint. I was nervous at first to go 20% but it was so strange that after I had it done I had cops wave as they passed me, both city and county. I would wave back but wonder why I'm so popular all of the sudden. I thought maybe because we drive simular cars...just as I would wave to other 350Z owners when I would see one. I have found myself speeding and passing some LEO and get a friendly gesture. I feel like I'm in heaven almost.

But today I may have figured it out. I live within 2 miles of the Sheriff's office so I pass there and the many squad cars daily going to work but what did I see today but a MM parked in the Sheriff's Office parking lot with all the CV's. I had to go get my tag renewed next door so on my way out I decided to ride by it. After all, I have these new MM.net cards I'm so eager to hand out.

I was shocked to see a black MM, tinted like mine and looked like my MM's twin (not to hard to do but anyway), sitting in the 'Reserved for Sheriff' parking spot. :eek:

I may just need to vote for this guy to keep him around longer :P

Just hope he doesn't trade in his ride anytime soon!

You should have went inside and talked to him and told him about the site and maybe he would join us at a meet. Another thing to think about is it is always good to have friends on the inside, get my meaning. :poke:

:banana2: By all means, you should have went in and "carded" him. Perhaps he will join the collective and become one of us. After all if he drives a MM he must know the power of the "force".

I didn't stop to card the car as I was in a 'Authorized Sheriff Personel Only' parking lot and the convicts pumping gas and washing cars were watching me.

I did chuckle on my way out thinking I could get away with a free tank of gas and car wash maybe :D

It did have a regular tag on it and not a government tag so either it was his personal ride, wife's ride, or maybe someone who didn't read the sign when they parked (but this isn't the normal citizen's parking section). Some detectives here do have personal tags on their county/city cruisers so maybe he's just going with the stealth look and it is a county car.

Even though mine is DTR, they wave at me, too. With the tinted windows, it looks like a police car with fancy wheels.

I live about about 3 miles from the state police academy. If I chose the route on my way home from work that goes by that place I pass so many waving LEO's in CV's I feel like everyones my buddy. Some day I going to pull in there....occasionally I've seen the parking lot cleared a few time while they push CV's and old Mustang 5.0's around cones.
