I am looking for a source for a 8-rib aluminum pulley for both the p/s pump and the alternator. (I will be using the readily available Metco type idler pullies). Does anyone have information? :help:

I used the OEM 8-rib ones for a truck/explorer but they're not aluminum.

Same here, I might be able to dig up some part numbers for you

I think Sean Hyland has an 8 rib set for Mustangs. I've never looked. But, I saw ones on a Cobra and I think he said he got if from Sean. He had to shim out (move forward) his S/C to get everything to line up. He said it was very difficult to get the S/C perfectly aligned so it wouldn't throw the belt. He had a stack of like 6 washers on each bolt.

Did you use the harmonic balancer also? If you have any part numbers that would be great. My belt is slipping at 15PSI.

Just came across this thread. I am getting a lot of slippage as well and it blows (pun intended).
We have tried a lot of things, including Reichart Racing pullies and a very custom made tensioner. We still have a few more things to try. I will let you know what we work out. I sure hope we don't end up with a cog system.

Question to all those with aftermarket pullies....
Did they come from the maker powdercoated/clearcoated?????
If so you need to use a light abrasive to remove the powdercoat from the ribbed area to improve grip.
I would have thought the Reichard Racing pullies would have helped. I have seen some used on different applications and they helped. The cross cuts in his pullies help alot. But I cant remember if they come with a clear powdercoat or not.
When my friend has pullies powder coated at his shop they tape off the contact surface to eliminate this problem.
