I posted in the past that because my Marauder gets about the same gas milage Around town and the county, as both my present Continental, and the two Continentals I had before, (18-21), I thought my Marauder would get the same as the Continentals on the open road. The Continentals (275 hp InTech Engines) all get/got from 26 to 31 on the open road.

Well I was wrong about the Marauder. I left Central Florida yesterday morning, and arrived in Western New York this afternoon. My milage at every fill up was a low of 22.9 and a high of 23.8, averaging 23.5. Speedo stayed between 76 to 79. What bothered me is the narrow spread compared to the wider spread with the Continentals.

Now I know I get the same as the rest of you guys. :burnout:

Its now running about 16-17/23 MPG. The Marauder is rated for only 17/23 MPG. Rememer that you won't get the higher highway mileage, because you're running at least a 3.55:1 axle ratio, and some are running 4.10:1 ratios. The cars that pull down the 27 MPG highway mileage, almost always have lower numerical ratios, such 2.79:1, 3.08:1 or 3.27:1.

Just returned home tonight. Left Lake George NY yesterday afternoon at 3;45pm and pulled into my driveway at 6:30pm tonight. This included about five hours of sleep I got in a North Carolina rest area.

Worse tank was 22.8:
Best tank was 26.7 (must have been going downhill with the wind at my back, but also was going slower);
Most tanks were about 23.5 and I guess that would also be my average for the trip.

Bob, I'm doing a somewhat better, ~26, but think the difference is speed. Most roads here in PA & MD have limits of 55 or 65. Depending on traffic and conditions, I run limit + 5, which would account for the better fuel consumption average. Also, I use 93 octane from my own home fuel tank, so get a constant supply of the same fuel; not that it's better, but it's always the same. :)

My Vic with 3.55s gets 14-15 mpg around town and 20-21 mpg on highway driving. I get 18-19 mpg with mixed highway/city driving.

The EPA rating for 00 Police Interceptors is 16/21 (3.55s, 11.25" TC) while the EPA rating for civilian 00 Vics is 18/25 (2.73s, 12" TC).

I get 20.5 with the a/c on in mixed driving to & from work. On one trip to Bradenton I got 22.5 cruising between 80-100 w/o a/c.

I'm only getting about 18 mpg (average) right now ... Before I added my aftermarket air box I got 26.4 mpg @ 70 mph.

I'm guessing once I get the dyno tune and correct my AFR, I should return to these kind of numbers,.. as long as I keep my foot out of the injectors :P

My best so far is 26.5 MPG at a constant 78 MPH with about 20 MPG around town!! :bows: :bows:

My fuel additive has gotten me up to a consistant 24.5+ MPG on the highway from about 21 MPG without it!! :banana2: I also am able to use 89 octane with my SCT "93 octane" tune with no detonation issues!!

I plan to run one week without the TC lockup to see what effect it has on mileage and how much warmer the transmission will run without TC locking??

I just checked the mileage on the other vehicle, I drive '97 E-150 4.6 35 gallon tank.

I got 17.9 mpg (no highway),that is up from 15 mpg, without the additive Marauderjack supplied me with.over 500 mile range on one tank!

I just got back to Orlando this afternoon with my bone stock 18,000 mile silver 2003 MM. Measured mileage on 3 tank fulls and got 23.7, 23.9, 24.2 MPG. This is at 70-75 MPH speeds with the A/c running the entire trip.

That is about right. My best at the same speed with A/C was 24 MPG. :D
